  1. I don’t think he or even the board knew he was going to step into management at that point mate
  2. Disagree entirely, he’s openly spoken about working in the premier league one day. He had that opportunity but turned it down with the hope that we could come calling soon. That’s how I see it anyway.
  3. The negativity around this appointment is surprising. There aren’t a huge amount of candidates that spring to mind as good/viable options. This guy knows the club inside/out and you can tell by the way he speaks he is passionate about the club. We know he’s a fantastic coach and on the back of that you’d be very hopeful the players will really buy into his methods. Heard nothing but good things about him via players on podcasts and interviews etc in fact I’ve heard many say he’s the best they’ve ever worked under. It’s clear to me he turned down the premier league money (no way we would match Wolves salary) because he genuinely knew he really wanted this and he was the man they wanted. It’ll be interesting to see what happens long term with Wilson because that has not worked out well at all and recruitment will be a massive factor in how successful Beale will be. He will have to be ruthless and get rid of a good number of players he will have existing relationships with but I’m excited to see his team play and look forward to what next season has in store for us because this one is all but done IMO. Good luck to him.
  4. Bowley is a club appointment I think mate, don’t think he’ll be going anywhere. A bridge between Academy and First Team.
  5. I remember he spoke about it on a podcast mate, they’d massively cut the budget and moved the goalposts from what he was offered budget wise when he took it on. Became very restricted with who he could bring in. You could be right about the other jobs though, this would only be an asst. managers role though. He’s also spent a lot of time with our 18s/B team
  6. So he has proven himself regardless of level and gained experience in all those areas of coaching a team to success. A really useful experience for any coach to go and then use as an assistant manager. I’ve no doubt he would be a great choice and importantly somebody that is passionate about the club
  7. Yes you’ve just answered your own question. From the guy that is actually championing Martindale, you’ve some neck
  8. Cunts will whinge at anything, what reason do people have to moan about Kevin Thomson being an assistant manager he was a fantastic servant to the club and a good guy. He’s also proven himself as a manager in his own right and would probably be a really good candidate to take on the roll. He absolutely gets what it takes to play for Rangers.
  9. We all know that, that’s why names like Sean Dyche are being touted. It’s not exactly a great set of circumstances
  10. That’s got nothing to do with the deal as YOU said but I stand by the fact that I know he’s very highly thought of at the club whether you like it or not Frank
  11. Unfortunately when you’re a club in the SPL there’s always a food chain, it’s how football works
  12. Not really Frank looks like you’ve made a cunt of it again been saying since early October I think it would be Beale. All the best son
  13. Not exactly bowled over with candidates incase you hadn’t noticed
  14. I think the Beale situation has got a number of factors. I genuinely believe he turned down Wolves because he knew the Rangers job was on the horizon. From what I’ve heard the mutual feeling between him and club is a significant factor. He may also at this point realise that two more defeats at QPR and he’s facing the sack there and where would that leave him? I personally think it’s a really good appointment that I’m excited by, players really like him and will buy into his messages unlike what we’re seeing on the pitch at the moment.
  15. Very easy to say that but at that point in time he was part of a team and was increasing his salary 5 fold it was reported.
  16. Beale has been nailed on to be the next Rangers manager for a long time from a club POV
  17. Completely agree, I’ll be amazed if it’s not Beale
  18. Helander is still on crutches mate, he’s miles away yet. Hopefully most of the others you mention though
