Goldson is ever present so by definition that is the case.However, does this not happen more when he is alongside Souttar? Anyway that is always going to happen when we more or less play with a 2 man defence since both full backs roam forward at he same time leaving no full back to cover across.

These two do not dovetail at all. Souttar seems to be in a world of his own; the Aberdeen goal was an example; full backs up the park and he wanders forward as well then stands and watches as Goldson is trying to defend on his own. Our central defenders have to be closer for one to challenge and the other to come across t clear up as our full backs are in no position to do that. Probably the reason Souttar is not the first choice partner.

I think we have to question Souttar for his part; his left back and right back are well up the field ad rather than drifting back to cover he is standing watching and doing nothing. He has to be closer to his centre back partner so that one can go with the player and the other come across and challenge.

Just wish we had a goalscoring striker which is what is needed to get over the line.

The replay angles he was shown did Sterling no favours. Live commentary had a few angles which would have given cause for the red to be downgraded but with the VAR replays it looked a definite red.

Have not seen it but given his history of diving not surprised.

Completely agree; more and more I feel that Cantwell is intent on doing his own thing rather than playing for the team. Trying to be everywhere like a headless chicken does not help the team. He would be better settling down and harnessing his undoubted ability in a constructive manner. It would also help if he would stop the dramatics and the petty confrontations and just use skill to put down opponents. Lawrence is a difficult one, short of fitness and match rusty he still has show he can be a fit in midfield. Raskin also needs to build fitness and play more than in fits and starts.

No out ball, Wright and Cantwell waste of a jersey so far.

Walter first time round almost always used one full back with a central defender at the other full back position. McPherson, Boli, McLaren, Moore, Porrini etc. Possibly to ensure that the full backs did not bomb forward at the same time leaving the team exposed for breakaways. Second stint often had four central defenders along the back line, if it meant we won nobody cared.

Yes, said many times I loved it when he played against us since he would give away 3 or 4 good chances every game. Plays opponents onside, goes to ground too often in tackles or blocks, like today. Poor reader of the game and over confident in his ability.
