I have to agree based on the limited times I've seen him play. The price for me is overinflated and I think we could pick up a better player for that kind of cash. doesnt Walt play 5-3-2 for Scotland? That was my main fear when he returned, he has at times played 5 central defenders at the same time even at Hampden.

Why does everybody assume Svensson will improve by having Weir or Webster beside him? I assume he has had coaches before but his balance, timing, heading, first touch, awareness and marking are still very poor. Maybe one of the 2 new defenders might improve his positioning where his 3 previous partners have not been able to do so. His own weaknesses will still be there and while he has done well when faced with a team without any central threat as on saturday, whenever he has a direct opponent he has been shown to be lacking.
