  1. Won't stop bumping their gums about Friday night, they want answers from Rangers and action took for the scenes inside the stadium

My inner-cynic believes this is a push to land Rangers a heavy fine which we won't be able to afford. Cause let's be honest, what happened inside the stadium was absolutely nothing, it was like a kids playground.

They need to "look in before they look out" IMO. As their fans are up there with the worst in Scotland.

It didn't really come across that way reading her statement.

"Given that there is no recent history of crowd trouble between Rangers and Hearts supporters, as indeed has been demonstrated twice already this season, there was certainly no reason for the police or the two clubs to expect anything untoward on the night.

"However, due to certain intelligence received, additional police resource was assigned to the game. There was still, however, no reason, nor police intelligence, to believe that disorder would take place between rival fans."

She added: "The SPFL match delegate report states unequivocally that the events of Friday night were in no way caused by poor or ineffective match operation preparation on the part of the home club. Our own Safety Officer shares that view."

  2. For the majority of the first half today Rangers played like a team with passion and had some fight about them. They had Alloa on the back foot and forced them to make mistakes, which ultimately led to the goal.

What I don't understand is why the second half was so different. Rangers reverted to defending and inviting the pressure from Alloa. If Alloa had taken some of the chances they created it would have been a different story.

The conditions today were far from ideal so I'll accept it on that basis. A similar performance against Hearts will see a score line not to far from that at Easter Road in December.

  3. I've watched Alloa a few times this year, and from what I've seen their league position doesn't do them justice. They are a well organised side under Barry Smith, and most of the players give 100% which is more than can be said for a lot of the Rangers team. They held their own, and were unlucky not to get anything when they players Hearts at Recreation park (Hearts scored a lucky goal from a free kick) and they beat Hibs in the first game there too.

Watched them against Falkirk on Saturday and they played a lot on the break, and the result would have been different if they had taken the chances they created.

I'll be there again tomorrow and will be hopeful it will be 4th time lucky for Rangers.

  5. Was never going to be an easy game today. Peterhead were always going to play at their very best against us and in front of the TV cameras. We never turned up today, and ultimately it has cost us 2 points. Hopefully this will change the players attitudes, and they might begin to realise that they can't just turn up to these games and expect to win. It's up to the manager to motivate the players before going on the pitch. It's up to the captain to motivate and lead the players when they are on the pitch. Ultimately today, neither happened and it showed in the performance. Bocanegra's game was not that of a captain, and the disorganisation was clear to see in the defence. He is either not match sharp, or purely doesn't want to be a Rangers player. Either way, things will need to change before our next game.

The season has only just begun. No need to be calling for heads just yet.

  6. Someone's obviously not been doing their homework. This clashes with the Great Scottish Run on the same date, with the route going across the kingston bridge, along paisley road west and through bellahouston park. Roads will be chaos.

According to my registration email, the GSR is due to start in George Sq at about 11am.
