  1. Other stuff? What other stuff?.... As for buying a season ticket and club merchandise..... isn't that what fans are supposed to do? Even fans of smaller clubs that win nothing year in year out do that. If you can't afford to give anything then don't, it's as simple as that. Fortunately, I believe the majority of Rangers fans are ready and willing to dig deep in a collective effort to save the club, putting the mechanics in place to implement the raising of funds seems to be the most difficult part.
  2. I'm in. The love of Rangers should be unconditional and I reckon for most of us it undoubtedly is. But we currently face the biggest crisis in our history, now is not the time for pointing the finger of blame in anyone's direction, we have to move on and the only real way of doing so is by injecting money into the club as quickly as possible.
  3. Some can't make the party, others can but don't want to, fair enough, I can accept that, however, those looking for something in return for their efforts other than the survival of Rangers should forget it. This isn't a share issue, it's about getting money into the club as quickly as possible. We're in intensive care and hemorrhaging - it's time for action.
  4. Of course it is, doesn't mean it's the right idea or one that everyone agrees with but at least it's out there. My idea's in it's infancy and there are obstacles to be overcome, of course there are, but these are not insurmountable. We must act with all haste due, time's against us and the cavalry aren't expected any time soon. We have to go with what we've got and that's each other. We cannot sit back and wait on others, this is our baby. We're in big trouble and from where I'm standing the only way out of this is to come up with money, and plenty of it. As I said earlier, it's very easy to shoot holes in this idea but so far I've not heard a better one. Or of course, we can all go and protest against the bank though quite what we hope to achieve by doing so is anyone's guess. Make no mistake, we can do this, we can save Rangers, but only by standing together.
  5. Why? Why is it misguided? It's a step in the right direction, a positive step with far greater potential than a lot of these so called protests that will get us nowhere. Only we can save Rangers and if anyone's got a better idea then I'm listening. What's yours David? Or do you prefer to sit back and just shoot everyone elses ideas down in flames.
  6. Great, no problem, I understand fully where you're coming from but no one's forcing anyone to do anything here, it's all a matter of choice. I'm more than happy to give what I feel I can realistically afford, I'm not looking for anything in return nor does it make me any more of a fan than someone giving £50 or whatever. If you don't want to help then fine, just don't get in the way of those of us that do.
  7. Yes, and that's exactly what they would be getting in return. Nothing more.
  8. Let's just deal with the present for the time being. Right now the club need us more than at any time in our long and distinguished history - let's not fail them.
  9. They have no say, none at all, they're doing it because they want to and because they can, just like the guy that's giving his last £50. It's a donation, an opportunity to help out an old friend, those looking for something in return should just keep their money firmly in their pocket.
  10. Did someone say something funny?......Sorry, must have missed it. contact rangers rangers m8, dont do it through this, this is only a rangers forum. Yes, and it just happens to be full of Rangers fans, the ones we need to reach out to in order to save the club. The poster that mentioned the administration of all of this has made the most valid point of all. Most of us want to help but feel frustrated as we're not quite sure how or where to begin. Rangers Media and it's members can have a major part to play in all of this, we must use the internet to our advantage and mobilize the many hundreds of thousands of Rangers fans worldwide to set the wheels in motion. We can do this but we need to do it now. To sit back and do nothing is not an option.
  11. I used that figure merely as an example, the point I was trying to get across is that some fans are in the very fortunate position that they will be able to give more than others. It's all about giving what you can afford, some would love to help but can't, I appreciate that, but there are many wealthy fans out there ready and willing to dig deep to save the club they love.
  12. The guy that gives £2m is no more important than the guy that gives £50 and has no greater say in the running of the club. Give what you can afford - simple as that. You're so negative it's frightening.
  13. We need Admin. on here to work with Admin. on FF and every other Rangers forum to get this off the ground as a matter of urgency. Let's stop looking to others and take matters into our own hands. We can do this, it's all about being positive and pulling together.
  14. Exactly, we're all in this together, we all have a part to play. The common denominator in all of this is our love of Rangers and ultimately it's up to us, all of us, to do whatever we can to save the club.
  15. Did someone say something funny?......Sorry, must have missed it. The £2k is to go where.......exactly? I thought that was obvious...... to reduce the debt and get the bank out of Ibrox. We have to start somewhere and it's my opinion that the very existence of our club rests with us, the fans. If we all pull in the same direction we can do it, it's all about togetherness and doing all you can no matter how small it may seem. Might take a bit more than 2k unfortunately. Obviously, the point i'm trying to make is that we have to start somewhere. It's time for positive action from the fans, I'm only trying to get the ball rolling.
