I agree with what he says tbh, this league is all about us v the scum and since the biggest club in Scotland were out of league for 4 seasons when they won titles  it really isn't 6 in a row is it.

In the early 90s they may as well have been in a different division, such was the gap between the clubs. Didn't stop me celebrating each & every one of them though.

DK gave us the best few days we have had in years and we will be eternally grateful for that. However the comments regarding the gap and whether titles counted or not have achieved nothing.

Just wish you'd keep your mouth shut sometimes.

Only a fucking putrid fenian would think a claim of more than two two in a row is legitimate.

    Define legitimate?

Wish DK would stop mentioning them in interviews. We are a stand-alone club, one with a glorious history and a bright future so the references to them in interviews is neither required or helpful.

    Love these old stories!

Seems crazy now,but I'd  prefer it like it was back then. Can just remember the all standing at a few games when I was really young maybe just Hampden

The story about people throwing darts....

My Dad told me that as well. Can't remember if it was Killie. Just that there was like a cage separating the fans so no bottles and that could go through, and folk were throwing darts.

The way he said it was like no one thought it was a big deal:lol:

So I don't think it was a one off!

Used to happen at Motherwell in the mid-seventies when they were more than a decent team. Was there when big DJ scored the only goal and both darts and golf balls were launched at us.

    Over 25000 there that day

Heard it was 0-0 and they lost on penalties.

You are right. 3-1 on penalties although it seems to have been a slightly unusual shootout with it being a 3 penalty shoot out rather than the usual 5.

    Remember them ?.

Full taches the lot if them. Think they all drove to their own motors to the game. A few of them will likely not be too far from their pensions by now.

    Cheating bastards ?

Some of them looked as old as i feel.

They would be receiving a telegram from the Queen if they lived in the UK.

Frightening to think it was nearly 30 years ago.

Their game plan was going well until their capitulation in Versailles during that 1918 season, then as you said.their manager got his tactics wrong in that away game in Stalingrad that fucked up their European Champions campaigns from 1943 through to 1945.

To be fair they've been fairly successful since then.with the famous exception in 66 when the Russians failed to "let bygones be bygones".

Says Aberdeen are coming to the end of a cycle, vilified for it yet they've lost 6 first team players...

He's getting it from all angles because he isn't toeing the party line and his press conferences mean exactly that, he takes them in the direction he wants. The ignorance in this country towards tactics and footballing philosophy is remarkable and that was shown when Pedro was dug up for using glasses in his press conference. In this country the only thing they care about is fights, arguments and baiting managers against each other, which is exactly what they done to McInnes after Pedro rightfully said they were coming to the end of a cycle.

Caixinha is used to journalists and the media fawning over tactics, stats and devote pages of newspapers to it. You can even see it in the way they are reporting our transfers. They are practically willing him on to do well, and hoping he can bring the best out of the players he has. The Mexican media are basically buzzing about the thought of Pena returning to the international team if he can hit form. Contrast that to the first Scottish media article on him and they dig him up about his party lifestyle.

It will all play into Caixinha's hands though. He's the type of manager that will protect the club and his players and close ranks quite quickly to develop it's us against everyone else mentality and it'll work in his favour. He realises the history he can make here, if he gets players that realise that, they'll leave everything on the pitch and would kill to win trophies. A player like Bruno Alves isn't here to play second fiddle to the tarriers

Sums up the Scottish sporting press perfectly.

No reporting or interest in tactical ananysis of any sort.

Focusing on developing a "war of words"narrative between rival managers/pundits shows a lack of intelligence from even award winning journalists it seems, especially if there is a personal agenda behind it.

As you correctly say Pedro already has their number and will act accordingly.
