  1. One I enjoyed recently was "Rangers - Cult Heroes" by Paul Smith. It contains mini biogs of 20 of our greatest players from Alan Morton to Barry Ferguson. It's published by Know The Score Books (www.knowthescorebooks.com) although I got mine from Amazon last year, a good read even if you already know a fair bit about some of the players.
  2. Isn't it fantastic that at last we have someone at the club who is prepared to "stand up and shout" - good on yer Charles, long may it continue!
  3. He's the epitome of a blunt speaking Yorkshireman! Certainly warmed to him the past few weeks, hope he keeps it up!
  4. And to think there are some who worship footballers as "heroes"! The likes of St.Willets and hes comrades in arms who died (and are still dying) in Ulster, Falklands, Afghanistan etc are the only true heroes - RIP
  5. Serves the bastards right - no Rangers in the SPL? See who gives a fuck without us in it...lets hope SKY pulls the plug and the whole lot of em go through what we have had to endures these past few months
  6. Big mistake to limit it to one company, took all control away from the club. Afraid to say you'll struggle to find a Gers Top (and no chance of any of the training gear) in sports shops in and around London, even the JJB ones but that hideous hooped monstrosity is everywhere Im afraid. The club must have lost a fortune over the years in potential merchandise sales.
  7. Mine turned up yesterday so no complaints on that score. However like a lot of people on here I have mixed feelings about the whole thing but at least the lad has tried to do something positive about the shambles we find ourself in. I just wish it had some sort of Gers emblem on it so that it was obvious what it was representing but I suppose that would have pushed up the cost. One small question - what happens if all the "spare tickets" are already sold and theres still a few bob left over, will that money go straight to the RFFF?
  8. The sooner the JJB deal - and the one with Umbro - end the better! They never seem to do the training gear/polo tops etc in XXL even at the start of the season when the new gear comes out. You visit the JJB stores in London and you can barely find a Rangers replica shirt let alone any other merchandise, but go into one of the Nike Stores and there's shed loads of Septic stuff, the club must have lost a fortune the past few years with this JJB/Umbro tie up.
  9. Ermmm....funnily enough I went online this morning and brought one because I wanted to feel I was "doing my bit" however small it may seem, so I have to ask...have I done a wrong 'un?
  10. They're already mine and have been for a long time. It wouldn't surprise me if they did do something like this, it's the sort of classy thing you associate with "The Arsenal". The two clubs appear to have had a good relationship over the years, my dad has often told me how we used to play friendlies against each other each season until the late sixties, and I remember how welcome they made us at Nigel Winterburn's testimonal (in 1997?)- and of course loaning us Kyle B for the past two seasons as well! Only hope it's true as whatever the amount they may or may not raise, it will be nice to think that we're not alone in our struggle - lets face it we aren't getting much help from our "neighbours" in Scotland are we?
  11. Count me in - IMO orange should always be our "away colours"! Some people won't like it but then I don't know why we try and appease the media all the time, we can't do right for doing wrong in their eyes so why do we even try?
  12. Sad bitter bastards the lot of em. As the saying goes "they should be careful what they wish for" as do they really think Sky/ESPN are going to be want to pump money into a one team league? Without us they are nothing and never will be. You certainly find out who your friends are at times like these but we'll be back and we won't forget, nor will we forgive.
  13. Thought this was a wind up when I first heard it - talk about kicking us when we're down, the fuckers.
  14. Maybe the Club just wanted to show that we are not a "selling club" and that not all of our players are available to the first club that offers up some dosh? Probably not but it is the sort of thing that goes on in this "spin driven media junkie" society that we seem to live in today so it wouldn't surprise me
