  1. Very young player but has started to show why the scouting team put him up.

The rest of this season and then a full pre season he will be a standout next season.

  2. You can guarantee the audio will not get released just in case there is something said about the incident.

Johnston clearly deliberately handled the ball to stop Sima from getting any further.

If Sima is marginally offside ( debatable ) my understanding of the offside rule is that " if a player is in an offside position and the ball is passed to him then the linesman flags for offside " I have looked at the available footage and I do not see a flag raised by the linesman. The way I read the law is the handball should have seen a penalty awarded, then if there was a question by celtic players it would be reviewed and if there was justification for the offside then it should have been a free kick to celtic on the edge of the 18 yard box.

  3. None of them.

Roofe is perpetually injured, Jack while being a good player in his day, is past it.

McLaughlin is an expense we can do without especially when we have young McCrorie as Number 2.

Borna is also past it been a great fullback for us but is well past it.

Lunny has come good under Clemente but is subject to going missing.

We need a good clear out of the deadwood but the question is can we afford it.

  4. The equation is simple, you foul a player inside the 18 yard box and its a penalty. That's the rules and if you are too simple to understand that ( opposition players ) if your management does not coach you not to push, pull, two hands on a attacking players shoulders to assist jumping you are going to get pinged.

VAR has given officials a chance to look at every claim from every angle in slow motion over and over so even the slightest suspicion is going to result in a spot kick.

  5. The manager has said, he is assessing individual players before he decides who stays and who goes.

So I'm hoping this is what he is doing with Lammers and Dessers, he has played with Dessers before so has some idea of what he is capable of.

but I don't think he is good enough for us. I think Lowry, McCausland, Lovelace and Rice should be given a run to see how they go.

  6. I don't care how long they leave Davis and Rae in charge as long as when they decide on a new manager its someone we know.

Someone we know will instill some backbone and pride into the squad but if that's not possible the board will back them financially to bring in some players we have heard of and know will improve the squad.

  7. The board as a whole are guilty for this appointment.

They opted  for Beale because of his association with Gerrards successful stint with us thinking that he must have had some input into the tactics and style with which we played then. But it seems they were wrong they gave him free rein to choose his own players and he did. Unfortunately the majority were unknown entities to most of us, but we trusted him as did the board.

Shows how wrong you can be.

  8. I am not happy with Beale, his tactics his team selections or most of his signings.

However I doubt he is going anywhere yet because firstly we probably can't afford to sack him. Secondly who do we replace him with at this stage of the season, most of the good managers are already contracted to clubs plus the money needed to lure one away from a contract is probably more than our board would be prepared to spend.

Then we have the players Beale has brought in apart from Butland, Cantwell, Raskin and Lawrence none of them are good enough on their showings this season. So who is to blame for the signings, were they all down to Beale or were they scouted or recommended to him by outside sources because the blame lies with someone. Plus if you buy these players as " your team " why are you not playing them. If they were supposed to be a step up from what we had why were they not played against PSV or celtic. If he felt they were not good enough or not ready, why did we buy them?

From the start of this season we needed a team that was ready to go, to play Champions league qualifiers and we knew we were going to be playing celtic four games into the season and that would possibly make of break our season, yet we lost to Killie and now them.

So it all boils down to Beale, his team, his tactics.

  9. I doubt very much the board will sack him yet. After all they brought him in as our saviour and they backed him financially to bring in players he said we needed to bring us titles and Champions League improvement. To sack him now would be to admit they got it all horribly wrong and they won't admit that yet.

You didnt answer my point, if more money means better players and manager why did we get to seville and beat psv last season?

PSV have a different team as well as us and theirs performed better on the night. I agree our new players don't seem to be any better than the ones we have sold but hey its all what happens on the pitch on the night and we didn't perform as well as they did.

Whether that is a reflection on the new players or Beale or just how things unfolded or a combination of all, I don't know for certain.

But there is no point in looking back our priority is now Sunday then the Europa league and every game each week. Give the new players time to gel and get used to each other and Beales philosophy and if neither work then we can talk about replacements.
