bluenose48 reacted to hammer93 in Simon Jordan's discussions with the Rangers Board
Mate I don't want to alarm you....currently we are still in the shit....whether you like it or not Bisgrove & Bennet backed the fraud in the summer to build a team, we have since been humiliated twice in europe and lost 3 league games so far this campaign......not sure what perch you are sitting on that makes you think as a club we are ticking over nicely......yes I applaud the board for bringing in Clement but time will tell what even he can do with this current squad of players

I said it the other day this board have been outstanding for us but if we want to compete regularly for titles etc we need to find new investment from somewhere.
I get football has moved on but how many of these current players would get in our last league winning side before admin.
We just can't keep using 2012 as a reason for abject failure year on year. Supporters are paying very good money into the club we deserve better than this shite on a yearly basis.

Issue is no one above Beale had any football knowledge at all. They let him run with whatever he felt best.

Can't believe some of the personal hatred directed at Beale.
Yes he was a shit manager and had no idea how to set up teams to counteract the negative tactics of most of the SPFL teams, but the board have to shoulder much of the blame for employing him and Gio before him.
They allowed him to bring in his own team, his personal choices as players. Most have never played for a team as big as Rangers and have never been under the same pressure to deliver week in week out. That's not the players fault it was Beales and the board for giving him free rein, a very inexperienced manager.

Getting the board out is like getting the manager out is like getting the deadwood players out - you have to have someone better to come in.

bluenose48 reacted to The Beast in How long to repair this
I think a proper manager and backroom team could turn this around pretty quickly. Not enough to make us brilliant and good enough for a decent European run but good enough to challenge this flawed Celtic team under a manager their fans hate. They came close to slipping up this weekend and they will slip up again. We need to be in a position to capitalise on that.
A proper manager with a defined system and a competent coaching team will make the world of difference.

The board as a whole are guilty for this appointment.
They opted for Beale because of his association with Gerrards successful stint with us thinking that he must have had some input into the tactics and style with which we played then. But it seems they were wrong they gave him free rein to choose his own players and he did. Unfortunately the majority were unknown entities to most of us, but we trusted him as did the board.
Shows how wrong you can be.

These guys need to provide leadership and direction to the club as a whole, not just the manager.
I refuse to believe that either of them truly expects Beale to turn things around.
Assuming that is the case, why wait until we lose more ground in the league or fall out of the league cup?
If you’re driving with a baldy tyre, do you wait until you have a puncture halfway along the motorway or do you address the problem before it becomes an emergency?
It is “when” scenario, not an “if”
I really hope that they’re working on a new man and are waiting till all the t’s are crossed and the i’s dotted.
The season is still salvageable at the moment - there is no point in waiting until it’s too late.
What they’re doing is not loyalty to the current manager, it is weak leadership.

Mind my da telling me every time he was at Ibrox when Jim was playing there were folk around him in the stand saying, "That Forrest does nothing apart from scoring goals."
What you'd give for a guy like that just now.
Rest easy Jim.

It’s done already we all know that - they aren’t great but are winning and will improve. We are pish and are going nowhere with this squad of utter shite.
What he’s done will take a while to repair because no cunt is taking the likes of Dessers and Lammers off our hands.
What Beales done is a disgrace and he shouldn’t be given another minute but this board won’t do a fucking thing
Cant stand the sight of him
