  1. Well said, mate. I hope you Papaguy, Boab, DBBTB, Texas Bear and all the other old school all have a great night. Well deserved.
  2. Given your awkward style of posting, I've had to post you into a separate document and then I'll take your points on board (Rangers_2011). So you say he's looked 'disinterested' but then you cite one game. Against ICT. Up north. Our worst performance of the season. The game where McGregor publically slated the entire side. The ENTIRE side. Your 'non complete' cross point is senseless and shall be ignored. What does it even mean? Stokes, who is alrght technically, plays off Gary Hooper - a player with superb movement. 'Weiss cuts inside all the time, is this because he's played on the left?' erm.. yes, it is. He's a PURE right footer. Some wingers fair better on the opposite flank with the chance to cut inside. Weiss doesn't. He has no left foot. He's done superbly well given the circumstance. He had a World Cup, but given he had no experience going into it, he was probably running on adrenaline - and again, it's totally different from club football. Having a one off game against Gio Van Bronkhorst is different from playing up at Inverness on the Thursday and Ibrox on the Saturday. The fundamental is that you're ignoring my point that all wingers are inconsistent. You slated Weiss initially for being 'inconsistent' and not showing what he showed today all season, when again I reiterate, if he could play like that every season he'd be keeping James Milner out the Man City team.
  3. 'Disinterested'. Hilarious. You're a microcosm of the typical Rangers fan who is clueless when it comes to wing play. Burke was slated for his performances, Beasley was and now it's Weiss, albeit to a lesser extent. I read a study on wingers years ago and I remember Ronaldo showed up best with a cross/skill success rate which was something like 67%. That's not exactly flawless. Weiss has had his bad games, but you seem to be holding his inconsistency against him rather than accept that it's naturally a symptom of a player who plays that position. The only winger I have seen perform consistently over a course of a season has been Giggs in 92-93 and of course, Laudrup. He played about 10 games for Bolton, mostly from the bench, and international football is a different animal from week in week out club football. Bringing Stokes into it is redundant considering he's actually been good for Celtic and well, bringing Barca into it is the football equivalent of Godwins law. We paid £700,000 for a kid for Man City. Remember that. He's done extremely well so far.
  4. If he could actually direct a header he'd be superb. Today was a vast improvement on recent performances, however.
  5. Nonsense. He's a 20 year old boy getting his first taste of regular football in his career. He's been our most entertaining player this season and is leading the SPL assist chart ahead of far more experienced players (on 9). A consistent winger? How many of them are there in world football right now? Genuinely? Angel Di Maria, Arjen Robben, Gareth Bale? The good was always going to come with the bad with Weiss, and the good far outweighs the bad. He's been an excellent signing.
  6. Out until the summer at least. Will probably miss the World Cup. Saying Real Madrid's defence is shite is like saying Brazillian keepers are all pish. It seems to be a mantra but just isn't the case.
  7. You mean the same Pepe that made basically every La Liga team of the year last year and was an absolute bedrock for Juande Ramos? The same Pepe who's pace at the back underpins the entire Real Madrid system? That 'calamity'? Don't talk fucking shite.
  8. Real Madrid won't be signing Cuellar in January. Left back is the position that the club wants to strengthen and if anyone comes in it will be either Gael Clichy or Patrice Evra.
  9. It's actually ridiculous how much he improves us as team when he comes in. Distribution wise he's up there with the best around. When Alexander starts in goals we actually look like being able to build from the back.
  10. We aren't paying Jerome Rothen anything close to £15,000 p/w.
  11. Ronaldinho and Roy Makaay are still the best around from the spot. To say Boyd is one of the best in Europe is fucking mental.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think he has missed the target and only been 'saved' twice one of which he got the rebound He has missed 3 penalties that i can think of off the top of my head but in fairness he does a decent enough job on the whole with them.
  13. Don't ever feel confident with him hitting them, to be honest.
  14. That is true and Wilson should have played in Seville.
  15. There is no feasible for reason for Lee McCulloch to ply his trade as a footballer, he is totally superfluous and offers no use to anything. He actually makes my skin crawl. Baffling substitutions indeed.
