dont really dislike utd too much as they are a british institution just like rangers. i do find it ironic though when utd fans are saying that city are ruining the league as they are spending so much. you would think utd were bringing through 2-3 players from their academy each year to the first team-this hasnt happened for years on a consistent basis so fergie has had to go out and spend big money on young unproven players whereas city have bought players who have proved themselves in other teams.

agreed derek it took time to assemble a squad but last summer alone he spent 50 million on three players iincluding one of the most expensive keepers ever. man utd are as much to blame as anyone for the inflated prices paid for average players which has made the premier league uncompetitive as 75% of the league cannot compete over a longer period. city are a breath of fresh air for the league.
