  1. Here are a couple of links.. Dodgy music! Looks not too bad a player. !
  2. I shall be using Passport Travel as usual, they have not listed a price for the game yet, however I expect it to be around the £250 mark for the day trip. I'm booked up for the first two already.
  3. I can't be bothered reading the next 6 pages of this thread, the above reply is spot on.
  4. I hate driving, and I mean hate it with a passion. But I can honestly say, as I was working up In Carnoustie at the time, I drove from there to Didsbury. It was the only time I've driven anywhere and enjoyed every mile of it. It seemed like every single car I passed had Rangers fans in it, everyone was smiling, raising fists in the air, just looking like 'We are the people, and we're going to win the cup'. Add to that all the people on the flyovers, waving flags, attaching good luck banners ect, and it was just magical. I travelled on the Tuesday afternoon, so I can only imagine what it was like on the Wednesday? That result still hurts, I think it probably will until I die. However I only have great memories of the Journey, the build up to the match, being inside the ground before the match, just thinking 'I'm at a European final, watching The famous' and the sun is shining on me. I want more days like that one, I deserve it, and my team deserve it too, We Are The People after all.
  5. Ok, thanks for that. If fit he could probably still do a job for a small club like Hamilton or Aberdeen. Although I think any of the better teams would perhaps be a bit of a stretch for him now.
  6. Neil McCann was a very good player for Rangers, always grafted and pitched in a few goals over the 4/5 seasons(?) he was at Ibrox. I think he scored something like 20 goals in about 130 games (?) and was a very busy and hard working winger. It's just a pity he was so injury prone, as he missed quite a few games over his spell at the club. I'm not 100% on this but is he retired now? I think he's only about 35, but I know he had the double leg break in a tackle with Scott Brown with Hearts against Celtic that kept him out for a season. Then Falkirk released him, pity I always liked him as a player. Kevin Kyle is a big workhorse of a player, at best he's an SPL or a championship player. He would score goals at Ibrox because of the service he would get , and the sheer volume of chances we create. He however is NOT RANGERS CLASS and should not EVER be considered for a blue jersey.
  7. What the fuck are you on about ? It was Lawrence Malborough who issued Davie Holmes with the finance to bring in Souness and give him the spending power to bring so many English internationals and top players to Ibrox and hence kick started 9IAR. Harldy our lowest fuckin ebb. Do you actually know anything about the final days of Malboroughs chairmanship of Rangers FC and the reasons he had to sell? Or are you just an idiot who swears in his posts, and thinks he knows something? Have a look at what Rangers went through under LM's tenure at the helm, then compare it to Murrays. Once you have done that, go buy a dictionary, read it, learn to compose a sentence without the use of profanities, structure a well informed argument and get back to me. I have no time for ignoramuses.
  8. You sir are a buffoon. By the age of 23 Murray had formed Murray International Metals Limited, the Murray Group of companies grew to become one of the United Kingdom’s most successful privately-owned enterprises. Added to the core business of steel were interests in surface mining (GM Mining), commercial property development (Premier Property Group), venture capital (Charlotte Ventures) and call centres (RHL, trading as 'RESPONSE' from February 2007 onwards, formerly Response Handling Limited). In 2006, the Murray group collectively reported turnover of £550 million, representing a fivefold increase on the figure five years previously, largely as a result of growing involvement in property development. Corporate success was also reflected in Murray's personal wealth, estimated in the Sunday Times Rich List 2008 at £720 million, making him the 113th wealthiest person in Britain. In 2007, Murray was said to be the seventh richest Scot. Murray has also provided occasional contributions to Scottish politics. In the lead-up to the 1999 referendum on the establishment of a Scottish Parliament, Murray endorsed the 'no' campaign, reflecting a long-held support for Unionism and opposition to the devolution of power from London. In the lead-up to elections to the Scottish Parliament in 2007, Murray reiterated his Unionist sentiments as one of 150 business signatories to a newspaper advertisement proclaiming that "the break up of Britain would damage Scotland" Murray's recognised through a number of awards over the course of his career. In 1984, at the age of 33, he was awarded Young Scottish Businessman of the Year. In 1986 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Heriot-Watt University. Murray was knighted in the New Year Honours 2007 List Yip, he'd be nothing without Rangers. The man bought Rangers when we were at one of our lowest ebbs, ploughed millions of his own money into the coffers and was at the helm during one of the greatest ever times to be a bear. Well done Sir David.
  9. No he wasn't. Bertie publicly stated he was disappointed at the squad hemorrhaging goals, and said with the experience we had in defense at the time, he thought we should have been a lot stronger. The print media at the time jumped upon that, threw in their own brand or spin, and hey presto... The red tops sold more papers. Weir chose to jack it in, only to come back when Smith offered him a return after Bertie was gone. Boyd has done the same, spin it anyway you choose to, both walked out on their country, both were missed, Weir came back and hopefully Boyd will return, if asked after Burley goes.
  10. "Terrorist supporters" Do you see those four walls and a roof, are they made of glass? "they dont even want to stay silent for a minutes silence! hence why in scotland we now have a minutes applause" Err, that's so far removed from the truth I'm not even going to bother trying explaining where the concept of a minutes applause started, or why it has become increasingly popular at sporting events. "this forum has some right bangers on it." It would certainly appear so. "Oh btw this declan was at the game on sunday so please refrain from classing me as that creed." I was also at the game, could you explain what relevance that had to my post, and where In it I "classed you as that creed?"
  11. Would you care to qualify that statement for me? I will concede the point that he has been treated shabbily by Burley, however Weir walked out on Scotland after having a nightmare tournament in 2002, and taking the huff when Bertie criticized him. Not exactly roughly treated twice. And for what it's worth, Davie Weir will proudly walk out for Scotland in the upcoming double header , as he is too big a player ,and a man to say no.
  12. To be quite honest I find RFC52's post a little depressing. Whilst I as a Rangers fan, hope our main rivals on the domestic front are always at least second in every League or Cup competition behind us. I have no hatred of the club or their fans. It's quite sad to say, but without a strong Celtic, the Media would have no rivalry to promote and therefore sell TV rights, advertising ect, and the revenue, as little as it is, would dry up. Rangers would be in even worse a financial state than we are at the moment, and I suspect the Scottish game would die a slow meandering death. Now I'm not saying Celtic as a club do not have their undesirable fans, some of them are despicable clowns. However I'm old enough to grasp the concept of "People In Glass Houses," and won't tar them all with the same brush. I'm a Rangers FC supporter, the only ill I wish on Celtic FC and their decent fans, is to be at best second in every chase.
