  1. Just trying to do my best to get the information out there mate. You know what I'm talking about .. and who. You also know it wasn't pointed at you. I thought for sure the second division comment was for my benefit
  2. Just trying to do my best to get the information out there mate.
  3. The timetable never changed, they heard the news last week and said it would be revealed in 10 days i.e. sometime last night. I've no idea what if anything was confirmed as BdTS was banned on FF. And as I've said, I don't believe for a second that they posted it knowing it was crap (though as said, not heard from BdTS and unlikely to now), they've been told information from someone they trust so they happen to believe it and pass on what they know. It was revealed on here by Boss that Boyd was signing an extension, I happen to believe he fully believed himself when he posted and would do so again if he decided to share other info he had heard from within the club. I'd say the same about sccgers and BdTS in future. Its ridiculous holding a grudge or contempt for someone whose only trying to enlighten fellow bears to what they hear. Rumours are flying around all the time, some come true, some don't. Sccgers spent weeks telling everybody that a Dave King bid was imminent and that he wanted the support to protest against Donald Muir and the board. When I had the temerity to question him over these matters, I suddenly received a life ban. Maybe everything is not as it seems in the murky world of FF politics. Were NL, OOA, RWA among others not saying the same thing as Buffel? Have they not made any further announcements? Hi mate, thought I hadn't seen you for a while. Didn't know you had been banned I'm getting my information from BdTS, haven't spoken to him since last night. All he said was that the Ellis deal was still on. Will chase for further info today. Theres a lot of support for Dave King on FF for a variety of different reasons.
  4. The lad who is waiting on word got banned. I'd be more confident that something imminent was happening if there was more than one person with forthcoming information. The news must be top secret if only one person knows what's happening. (Sorry, I mean one person who could tell people of internet sites.) You know it's came from several different sources.
  5. I agree. Posters stick their neck on the line by posting what they post and taking a chance. Theres a reason why the sources don't name themselves in papers. If posters are willing to put up their sources then they should take responsibility for it. I think both posters mentioned will do just that.
  6. Mr Ellis claimed not to be aware of FollowFollow and I don't see why he would be really. N_L informed him of the size of FF and how many readers each article can expect to get. When you add that to RM, VB and Gersnet populations and articles then it's clear Mr Ellis could do a lot worse than engaging the online community. Hopefully what N_L has done has given him an opportunity to do so. As has been mentioned by GCL (I think) nothing new really but the fact someone I know has spoken to him seems to make it a bit more real.
  7. I agree it was an ideal situation to rest Weir. I don't understand the negativity against him on this thread though. He's been the one constant so far this season in the best defence in Britain.
  8. Theres no doubt he has spoken very well at times, my issue has often revolved around the message he's putting out. I just hope the new spokesman isn't the guy who has appeared a few times or his showes would never be filled. Both Fraser Martin and Stephen Smith are excellent speakers, like David is.
  9. Hearing Alastair Johnston on Clyde there he didn't condemn the protests and while not giving them a further green light he indicated that supporters are entitled to act as they see fit if they are concerned.
  10. Touche Not to my knowledge mate. I believe it's roughly around £10-£12m in total. This season we received in the region of £2.5m extra direct from Uefa because Celtic did not qualify. This would intimate to me that we received approx £5-6m for competing, roughly £1million per home game gate receipts and then the bonuses for picking up points (not very high in our case ) Perhaps bluedell or boss could clarify on that.
  11. There were plans in place to have a protest on Edminston Drive. Vocal against Muir and Lloyds. This was reigned in and what you seen is the end result. (save for a few freelance banners )
  12. I would counter that by saying that WHERE this post originated from dictated the tone of this thread much more than the tone of the article (as uncomplimentary as it was) Definitely for another thread
  13. I don't mean to rain on your parade but we don't get anything near £20million from competing in the CL. It's around £10million (at best). We also don't get it all upfront (we are still due some of this years I believe). The CL money is also not pure profit so it can't be 100% counted towards debt. Some or most of it is needed for day to day costs and things like player salaries.
  14. I don't know Barry 221 from Adam. Not a name I recognised when the post first came to light. I have no answer on whether it was actually written by him. The second point I've highlighted is where I'll disagree, respectfully of course . I'm of the opinion that two differing points of view regarding a fairly crucial meeting is more important than childish mud slinging.(though I agree that the tone of the article is less than complimentary and perhaps could have been worded a bit better, but then both sides are guilty of that in the past)
  15. The problem being that before guys like NL had anything to do with it the protest wheels were already in motion. A fund had been set up and ideas had been posted on FF for a good few days before. They then decided to take the official protest in a different direction but ultimately others chose otherwise. I don't believe there will be any further protests or if there are the same people will not be responsible.
  16. I'd perhaps take Harewood for a season. He offers something different but I don't think he's good enough to make enough of an impact. He'll be on a decent wedge and can't see him ousting Boyd/Miller long term. Most of the others are a bit out of reach for us. Snodgrass may offer a bit of creativity offensively for us but I think he would be too pricey. If we were to sell McGregor or Bougherra to fund this then heres some options that I think could improve our team and squad whilst not impacting on our youths chances of progression. Tomas Cerny as back up to Alexander (if McGregor was sold) Paul Dixon Jason Thomson Scott Arfield Lee Griffiths If Bougherra was sold then you would assume we would receive more than if McGregor went therefore there may be £1 or £2million available to purchase another centre half. This is obviously all dependent on what financial state we are in come summer.
  17. I wouldn't expect to hear any boardroom information which is why I was extremely surprised to see an article on Saturday morning on this site with the whole truth straight from DM's mouth.
  18. Hello old friend By that logic then I also have clarity insofar as Barry 221 has posted? The fact remains there are two different stories.
  19. [quote name='BlueIsTheColour' date='17 February 2010 - 10:19 AM' timestamp='1266401940' There is no info, and Barry221 didn't write that article. Of course he didn't but that's not the issue (although it certainly is AN issue). The questions have been raised and if 'Barry 221's' information is incorrect then Contacts wouldn't have too much trouble coming out and quashing it. If he's keeping quiet becuase of confidentiality and he has said all that he can then that's fair enough. There's people on this thread who know the answers and the fact they aren't saying anything either is disconcerting.
  20. Join the club mate. Perhaps it would have been better if I hadn't named myself similar to my FollowFollow name, then I might have been allowed to engage in reasoned debate without being called a 'fool' 'lickspittle' or 'lapdog' to a man I've never met and barely conversed with. C'est la vie.
  21. Sorry, that's what I know him as. It's the first time I've done it. Didn't mean to cause offence and don't see why any should be taken but consider my wrists slapped Apologies GCL.
  22. I'm not taking anyones word on anything. The information that they have is in the first post on this thread. I haven't believed anyone over anyone else. All I see is two conflicting stories which need to be clarified given the severity of the situation.
  23. I'm clearly not clever enough to use the multi-quote. Orangeclement & Token: The Enemy Within is/was nothing to do with the protest. The protestors cannot stop other people making up banners. There's no witch hunt against anyone. Throughout the whole thread I've indicated that clarity needs to be given and sought after on BOTH sides and from all parties present at this meeting. Given that contacts is a well known poster in the online community I don't think it's unreasonable to ask this here. Also, as he has already provided information from a supposedly confidential meeting then you would assume he has no problem clarifying this and answering any questions to the contrary? I would assume (always risky!) that this would be why the other members of this meeting have not spoken up.
  24. There is a similar article in The Guardian. Heres some parts which I would have thought would worry most fans.
