  1. It was cos they are putting 3g synthetic turf in.
  2. I'm perfectly serious, if the Scottish Government were to get involved it could bring about serious action from FIFA, the rules are clear on that.
  3. Perhaps you could give examples of your claims. Anyway why do you think that the First Minister of this country should get involved in what is a football matter? The comments on boards like this results in the fans of other teams getting more annoyed, they then shout at their clubs to not back any resolution for Rangers and then you get these clubs not backing Rangers. Perhaps folk on here and amongst the Rangers support generally should put a sock in it, you aren't helping with the nonsense being spouted. We all need to accept that Rangers has done itself in whether it be Murray in the past or Whyte recently, they are the people responsible. The whole family that is Rangers need to get the house in order and stop blaming others, there is no dignity in how those in charge acted or how the fans have responded. It is embarressing and we need to show ourselves to be better than that.
  4. Green has came out and said he wants McCoist in, rumours came out before this that he wanted him out. Looking at it dispassionately i don't see what Green would have to gain by bumping Ally so i don't think the rumour had any foundation in truth. Therefore it was put out to try and disrupt Green's lot taking control. If that is the case then there is only one lot to look at as to who was trying to disrupt things and that is very sad.
  5. Where was Walter and his lot before now? Too little too late, Green and his lot are in now we need to support them otherwise any delays could be costly.
  6. The reason to not allow guests to view is more about stopping the outside world hear some of the extreme nonsense being spouted on here, folk need to pull their necks in and consider what they say before putting out there for all to see.
  7. The Ted McMinn Football Academy just kiddin', now i loved watching Davie Cooper playing as a kid, he was my favourite player back then and i respect the idea of naming it after one of the founders of Rangers but i like the idea of simply returning it back to the original name of the area, Auchenhowie.
  8. Rangers as a club needs to change it's ways wholeheartedly, we need to work on the basis of our teams coming through the ranks from the youth teams. By all means it be supplemented with a few external players but they need to be of a clearly higher standard. We need to operate well within our means. This whole situation over the last few years is an utter embarressment and should not be allowed to happen again. Rangers should be leading the way in Scottish football in bringing through our own players, we haven't as we have just bought our way to success. Producing our own talent, with them being engrained in the Rangers way is how it should be. Only doing it this way can ensure Rangers are the club we are supposed to be.
  9. Fact? you just contradicted yourself, keep the pound with rates set by BoE but then suddenly a Scottish pound would be worth less you can't have it both ways. Also saying fact doesn't make something fact. But to take you on the idea of a separate Scottish pound v sterling, if as you claim it would be worth less that means sterling would be worth more therefore if you were getting an MOD pension from the remaining UK it would end up worth more. people did not die in the Second world war to preserve the Union, they done it to fight nazi tyranny. And just to be clear i am merely responding to comments, i didn't bring this issue up.
  10. Using what it would be if the new deal went through(i think it is a total of £16million per year)with the SPL rules dictate that all commercial revenues are pooled and split 48% equally and 52% by league position you would end up with this for the split of tv money, League %of TV £mn 25% 75% Place revenue 1.......17......2.72....0.68....2.04 2.......15......2.4.....0.6.....1.8 3.......9.5.....1.52....0.38....1.14 4.......8.5.....1.36....0.34....1.02 5.......8.......1.28....0.32....0.96 6.......7.5.....1.2.....0.3.....0.9 7.......7.......1.12....0.28....0.84 8.......6.5.....1.04....0.26....0.78 9.......6.......0.96....0.24....0.72 10......5.5.....0.88....0.22....0.66 11......5.......0.8.....0.2.....0.6 12......4.5.....0.72....0.18....0.54 So if we were to manage to win the league three years on the trot under this ruling we would be screwed out of £6.12million in total. More likely we would be getting second given the financial constraints so would be losing £5.4million over the three years.
  11. Britishness is all about the elite screwing everybody else for their own gain, it's a failed political construct. The argument is there, you only need to look at the Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland 2010-2011 report it shows we are not 'subsidy junkies' as claimed by many. as for Religious and Head of State issues, we are not remotely like England, Wales or Northern Ireland from a religious point of view there is nothing that binds us in that respect. For head of state, i personally don't believe in the idea of monarchies but as it stands the present Queen is head of state of 16 different nation states it wouldn't make any difference if she was still Queen. Have a look at the link above, it shows revenue and expenditure for Scotland. Unemployment would fall as we would be required to have our own government departments that are presently down in Westminster. Having a full government in Scotland then allows for interaction with other countries more directly which will bring further employment. I'm lost as to how you think this is going to 'screw' our pensions? One sad thing that actually benefits us is our lower life expectancy, when we regain our independence then one of the things that will be split will be Scotland's proportion of the national pension pot. This will mean that we will have a reduced average outlay per person compared with the rest of the UK for pensions.
  12. Maurice Johnston I remember that day well, i didn't believe it cos we had previously seen Celtic parading him, but once we knew for sure it was a great opportunity to laugh a Celtic.
  13. But then the SNP policy is to wait for the right economic time to enter the Euro, that won't be anytime soon and whose to say who would be in power in Scotland in the years after independence. I think over the years the economic policies of the Euro would have suited Scotland better than the UK's policy with Sterling, that is the reasoning behind the pro Euro stance. I fully expect in the years after Scotland regains it's independence that there will be a full debate as to what is best for us regarding monetary policy as well as membership of the EU.
  14. No one person can properly represent the fans as a whole, so i'd rather just see someone professional who can help take the club forward.
  15. Given that most are republicans then they can hardly be Jacobites, yes i do hate the 'union' but don't hate the people living in the countries of the UK, i do wear a kilt to family occasions, i have seen braveheart twice in the 17 years since it came out but can't say i was jumping about my living room. SNP Members in the overwhelming majority are not ethnic nationalists, they are civic nationalists, it is about social democracy; something that will never happen whilst we are part of the UK. On the fallacy about nationalists hating the English I personally have met far more pro-union folk who 'hate' the English than i have SNP/pro-independence folk who 'hate' the English. The politics of Scottish nationalism is a far more mature state of affairs than any other politics within the UK.
