How Do Chelsea Overcome Barcelona?
PaulRFC1 replied to The Godfather's topic in General Football & Sport
Chelsea always perform well against Barca and Messi tends to do poorly against English teams especially away from home. It would be foolish to rule out Chelsea, I see them getting a result tonight. -
It looks over the line.
-
This. He was outstanding when he came on. Changed the game.
-
Already started there "cheated" pish. Its so fucking idiotic considering there goal was clearly offside.
-
Yes I supported Whyte like 99% of our fans and I have admitted it was a mistake, it was more to do with me as I tend to believe nothing the papers report but for once they got it right. And I said you were clueless? about what exactly?
-
This The both of them are clueless too.

Is la liga the best league in Europe?
PaulRFC1 replied to Thermopylae's topic in General Football & Sport
Yes. When Bilbao raped United it certified it. -
Hahaha Pele is delusional And at Neymars a better dribbler than Messi because he is two footed.
-
Fuck sake is this all you talk about? Nearly every one of your posts ends in something about us getting liquidated.
-
Im sure Liquidation and a Newco is different.
-
It seems he is choking for us to get liquidated.

I really wish you'd all give it a rest with this tainted title pish

Every team has poor results, this was the middle of the season and they were only 4 points ahead of us. We fucked up but that doesnt mean they were going to win the League. We came from behind in the League to win it twice with Walter. They went undefeated for over 20 domestic games and then we pumped them and they lost in the Cup final, two of their big games and they lose both of them...sound familiar? They have won the League but deep down they know its tainted, thats why you have Lennon and Thompson coming out every week saying its not tainted. Its bothering them because they fucking know it. They were handed the title, it wasnt their fault that we went into administration but it happened and it went from a close title race to over in a matter of days and that makes it tainted. They were given an extra 10 fucking points to win a League, it wasnt as if they were way out in front and were going to win the League. I struggle to see how someone can claim its not tainted. -

Fuck off. There is absolutely no way you could say we wouldn't have won the title, especially if you consider for the past 3 seasons we have played significantly better towards the end of the season. There was only 4 points in it, a tiny gap especially with 2 Old Firms to go. We were then deducted 10 points which effectively killed the title race. It goes from a close title race to over in a matter of days and its not tainted? nonsense. -

Large gap exists between Blue Knights bid and others.
PaulRFC1 replied to Miggy Sinclair's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
True, it is a route we can go down tho. Its just refreshing to get a few quotes from them and see their plans. They have been painted very badly by the media. -

‘In an asset purchase, all of the good and valuable assets (records, marks, names, trophies, players, staff, history) are preserved and separated from the bad and harmful liabilities (tax bills, bad contracts, creditors), which have put the club into administration and which act to force the entirety into liquidation. ‘By putting all of the assets into a different corporate structure, the assets are, in fact, rescued from liquidation. Such a transaction would be very similar to the one that occurred at Leeds United in 2007, which simultaneously rescued that club, maintained its proud history and allowed the club to shed its debt burden so that it could have the opportunity for future success.’ That really doesnt sound too bad and its one of the solutions that were talked about on here(A 'Phoenix' Club). -
Good news.
-
No one is saying this is a good deal. Its not their job to keep "potential" new owners happy, their job is to keep this club alive while getting the Creditors as much money as possible. We needed the playing staff to take a 75% wage cut for us to fulfill our fixtures ffs and that deal ends May 31st. So come then if we dont have new owners then the highest earners will be the first out the door and some sort of fee is a bonus. Im not saying this will be the exact figure but if we were to sell players the fee's will be derisory.
-
We are in no position to say no. Some people need a reality check, we are still in administration and our future is still unclear so 3.5million and two of our highest earners off the wage bill? no way we will turn that down.

Its a fucking legends fundraiser match on a friday night and everyones expecting 50,000 there 40,000 would be fantastic but some people need to get realistic. And the taigs got around 1000 fans for a friendly against AZ Alkmaar, theres a difference.

No chance. I was a big fan of Weiss but no way was he better than Aluko. Aluko has played 14 games for us and scored 6 goals and got 5 assists compared to Weiss who played 30 games and got 6 goals and 11 assists and he was also the set-piece taker. I dont know how you can claim Aluko was an Aberdeen reject, thats complete nonsense. He played around 70 games for them and then left them not the other way around. Its like saying Weiss is a City and Bolton reject because he done fuck all with both of them. I dont know why we are comparing there stats and how they done at other clubs, it makes no sense because they both played for The Rangers. One has became an instant hit and is one of our star players while the other one did well for us but was very inconsistent and didn't make the same impact. Ideally I would love both of them at Rangers but if you were picking one of them to sign based on their time at Rangers I would pick Aluko and he has only played half the games Weiss has.

Can we compete for the title next season?
PaulRFC1 replied to keithgersbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
It depends. We need to see what happens with Europe and Ticketus because if the Ticketus deal remains and we have no Europe then that is a decent chunk of our income gone and we will need to cut pretty severely. -
