Not really. If one of Platini's reasons for approving this is to reduce the dominance of the five leading Football Nations then why would he approve a Super League involving them? It would only make the dominance worse. At least the idea of an Atlantic League is sensible, a Super League would mean the dominant and rich teams would simply get richer and become more dominant whereas an Atlantic League would help the lesser nations with big sides get close to a level playing field and generate more cash. Saying that I really have no idea how it would work, what would happen to European Football and what about the away days? I hope something like this happens I really do because Scottish Football is not going to miraculously get better, there isn't going to be a huge amount of cash suddenly appearing in this League and its more than likely going to get worse.

They havent been able to strike a deal to cut there wage by 75%, now they will make them redundant. It doesn't mean we cant save and thats why they are accelarating the sale because why would a new owner want to buy a club with half of its playing staff missing and having to pay millions to rebuild that when they could come in now and keep key assets.

The main bit missing is "without cuts".

No, The players didn't come to an agreement on wage cuts so now there will be redundancies, instead of just making players redundant and halfing our playing staff they are giving buyers a chance to come forward and buy the club with its players still there instead of someone coming in and having to sign a new team and waste millions.

Read the statement. Heavy cuts are needed to keep us affloat and because they havent agreed to a 75% wage cut its inevitable there will be redundancies. By doing this they are giving the buyers a chance to buy a club with its players still here instead of coming in and buying a club which needs rebuilt.

Stop fucking panicking. We had been told we had to cut 1 million a month to survive so we knew we needed cuts. This is basically giving any new buyer a chance to come in and buy us without the redundancies. This doesnt mean liquidation is now inevitable.
