RIP Billy McNeil , from an era when the old firm had respect for each other.

Let it go ffs. He never got booted in the face, he went down like a 2 bob hooker, had a wee sly look at the ref or linesman and lay there for about 3 minutes, an embarrassment .

I don't think he would have been under any pressure from the board to win any silverware this season. I highly doubt he will be sacked.  He might get an offer and go in the summer though.
The board have picked and are backing Gerrard. No way they sack him less than a year into the rebuild and him getting to the group stages.

I like Morelos but there’s no doubt that some of his antics are cringeworthy. If we get a good price for himinthe summer then I would be happy to see him move on. I watch the matches expecting something special from him, but also shitting myself that he’s going to do something stupid. Hopefully he’ll have a good end to the season and a club will pay a decent price for him. I’ll wish him all the best and hope that we can find a goal scorer who is less of a liability. 

This puts the club in a great position when the time comes for him to move on. Personally, I think that will be in the summer, but we’ve made our hand a lot stronger when we’re dealing with clubs sniffing about him. The tarriers have been doing this for a while and to be fair it’s paid dividends for them. Good sensible move for all concerned. We seem to be a lot more professional in our business management than we were a few years ago. 

The banner’s a wee bit below the belt to be fair. Anything about Morelos himself is fair game but slagging off somebody’s maw is taking liberties. However, he’s a big boy and I’m sure he’ll get over it. Score a couple in the replay and get it right fucking up them is the best retaliation for him.

Glentoran had a fantastic team at that time and they also drew with Benfica round about that time. I can remember the crowd that night ws incredible with lots of Linfield fans there supporting the Gers. I think Rodger Hynd scored for Rangers and started my love affair with the Teddies.

Unfortunately,I think Alfredo has got involved there unnecessarily. I don’t think there was anything violent in what he did but he has to be cleverer than that. We should be talking about a fantastic hat trick instead of whether he deserved a red card or not. I love the boy but I wish he could be a bit cuter at times. 

Barry Ferguson, Gazza, Tommy  McLean, Davy Cooper, etc etc. There’s a long list of greetin faced bastards. All great players and all winners. Sometimes you just have to accept the way certain players are. Alfredo just needs to be a bit cleverer at times re his petulance, but he probably can’t help himself. 

I’ve been follow following since the early 70s, including the John Greig years. As a young man I did far worse than the laddies are doing at the moment. However, that doesn’t make all their actions ok. I still think coming on the park should be avoided unless it’s a massive game for us and then I could see the strength of it. I unfortunately can’t go to the games now, but I do realise that these young lads are the future of the support. I also applaud them for their singing throughout the games and making the atmosphere better at Ibrox than it would be without them. I sometimes have a wee moan about them with the flares and pitch invasions, and probably still will. There’s no doubt though, that they are spending their money following us everywhere and genuinely love the Rangers. So for that boys and girls, I salute you.

I really like this lad. One of the things that Pedro got laughed at for was saying that Ross would be a future captain of Scotland and Rangers. I honestly believe that he will be. He is maturing at a rate of knots and is getting better and better under Gerrard. In the old firm game he looked like a seasoned pro and will continue to learn his craft and get better. He also loves the club and you can see how proud he is to wear the jersey. There will be times when his form dips but I definitely think he’ll go on to be a Rangers great.

Trying to shoehorn Davis and Defoe in against Killie was a big mistake and I think the manager realises that. We are better when we have width in the team and I think we should be starting with Ryan and Daniel whenever possible.

The pass he played for Alfredo to hit the post was unbelievable. Didn’t deserve to be benched for the Killie game and I was glad to see him back today. Work rate is fantastic and he rarely lets us Down.

No more fannying about pandering to this ego or that ego or trying to crowbar people in when the guy currently holding the jersey has done nothing wrong.
We must stay with that core team with the only concession being the return of Goldson when he recovers. Replacing Worrall with Goldson makes this our strongest (and I stress the word “strongest”) team.
All being fit, that starting IX doesn’t change barring injuries or suspensions. If that happens, the guy stepping in has to mimic the teammate he’s replacing in the proven system.
If Davis and Defoe want to play, they have to bide their time and take the chance when it comes.
Livingston had picked up 23 points out of a possible 30 at home before today. This was a very professional display and we would have beaten Killie playing that way.
A rookie manager learns from games like our last two. I’m sure SG will take it on board and we will go on from strength to strength.

The 73 cup final was only my third old firm game. I remember it was a stinking day and we weren’t fancied to win it. It took a good few seconds before the Rangers end realisedbig Tam had scored. It was unbridled joy and I’ll never forget the celebrations on the terraces. I’ve been lucky enough to witness many victory’s over the tarriers since then , but funnily enough the 73 cup final and the 29th December 2018 will probably be my 2 favourites. Many happy returns Tam, a real Rangers legend and a hero for that goal alone.
