I think the Celtic fans were holding out for some sort of big announcement and are, at present, completely underwhelmed.
Lennon getting this job is excellent news for us...I have no doubt he will be a better appointment than Mowbray but a full scale meltdown will be achieved by January if things arent going quite to plan.

sccgers has been wrong in the past he admitted so himself in the opening post and pointed out people are free to chose whether to believe him or not.
My previous posts on here will confirm that I never for a second believed Ellis would ever end up anywhere near Rangers, so its not like Im suffering some sort of let down. Id just prefer if people who dont exactly have a solid track record would stop posting stuff that a youth coach or whoever told them.
It only causes mass hysteria, massages peoples egos and becomes boring and shitty.

Theres more than a hint of self promotion about it and im not remotely surprised the claims never materialized.
You would think someone with such a far from pefect track record would maybe take a step back and think "Hold on, Ive been totally wrong in the past, should i really post this?", but its up to them I suppose.
Im sure they will appreciate the consistent white knighting on their behalf right enough, if nothing else.

What is it that drives certain people to exhibit themselves by promoting "information" that they cannot possibly substantiate? What weakness prevents them from either just keeping their own counsel or posting it as the unsupported rumour it always is? Why the need to try to invest these rumours with credibility they don't deserve by expressions of personal faith in un-named individuals who always seem to be waiting for further corroboration from even more opaque and distant sources? Is it a disease ... because is sure is spreading around here.
There now appear to be droves of people who are waiting by the phone for calls from God knows who. Then there are people in the second division who feel the need to announce that, while they're not actually in the front line, they are close to people who are and can't you just see the reflected glory. Fuxxake people, have some dignity.
What is it you come onto forums for exactly when it doesn't involve slating Rangers sites ? The hole point about forums is for debate, and while we're all screaming out for answers in anyone within the support thinks they might have an insight to what's what I'm all ears. Its easy enough to listen to what people have to say and think it over without getting upset with them about it.
You really are a funny creature! All you do is constantly take pot shots at sites and posters while contributing the square root of fuck all really.
Having said that though, he does have a point.

straying slightly off topic, saw Douglas Park's name being mentioned a few posts ago. My work involves the motor trade and I was asking my boss today what he is like and from the sounds of it he is not the easiest of people to work for and isnt the nicest of people, mind you, he has done a good job of building up his business. I need to be careful what I say so all I will say is that he is not someone I would like to be involved with the running of our club.
There was a wind up on the radio a few years ago with him something to do with andy camerons lawyer if i mind right, although it was funny as fuck he came across as a bit of a arse right enough.
That wasnt Douglas Park.
I'm sure I would have remembered if someone said it was him, I was told who it was at the time but I cant remember it, however as I know his name it would have stuck.
It was Andy Smillie the scaffolding boss who was the victim of the Galloway prank.

Basically what will happen will happen and no amounts of truths and bullshit posted on a forum will change anything. I've laughed off rumours and inside knowledge before only to end up looking like Scott Brown studying a football. I've heard gossip or certain facts about what is supposed to happen and got excited to end up feeling like a Muslim martyr realizing that the 50 virgins are Susan Boyle types. I've learned to absorb the info I get online and discuss it while never believing its done til its done.
I believe 100% that sscgers and BdTS were giving information from people in the know and have only passed on the knowledge in good faith, I don't believe for a second either poster would say x or y for attention seeking purposes.
They are saying on FF that he is banned
Apparently Ellis isnt to even be mentioned over there.
Would explain the sudden influx to discuss him here I guess.

I dont think anyone at the club takes him or his bid seriously.
AJ is on the official site today and seems to suggest he will be running things for the foreseeable future...He says relations with the ban are a lot better now we dont need to go through Murray Group.

To be fair, it can be done on ones own accord.
Everyone knows the sites to visit, its not like booking a seat for this is the only way to see them.
I dont dispute its a fantastic idea and would be a good way to take the trail but its hardly missing out if people choose to do it themselves.

McGregor is still miles ahead of him, in terms of ability.
A lot of folk seem to think cashing in on McGregor would be no bad thing due to Alexander being back up, but IMO he would be a massive, massive loss.
Alexander is a capable deputy and no more. His attitude off the park is irrelevant.

Fair enough, he is a model professional but thats not going to have any improvementon his current ability.
He is a good back up keeper but will in no way be an equal replacement for McGregor if he leaves.

the way players carry themselves on and off the park is extremely important, especially at a club with the standards of Rangers FC
i expect every one of my Rangers players to be perfect professionals, and Alexander is that, Shagger is not. Our players are role models for thousands of people, not just kids, all over Scotland. Although its hard to argue that McGregor should not be number 1, but i will!!!
Im not disputing that at all!!
Every player shouldbe representing the club to the highest standards, I just mean that when people are saying he is a good replacement for McGregor due to his professionalism, I disagree because while he is an excellent representative of the club, he's still not of the same ability as McGregor on the park.
