  1. I've said it for a while but for Arsenal to consistently qualify for the CL for so many years, on a fraction of the budget of the teams around them is a massive acheivement. Too much is made of the fact they haven't won any trophies in a while, I'd place 16 years of constant qualification to the CL above a couple of Carling Cups. Would love to see what Wenger could do with a bit of money. Hopefully he gets it this Summer.
  2. Far too much focus on making it a home entertainment device, instead of a games console. I have a laptop to watch Youtube on and to Skype, I have a blu-ray player to watch movies on, I have a smart TV to watch Netflix, 4OD etc on and I have an Ipod dock to listen to music on. It's fair enough including these things on the Xbox One IF it doesn't detract away from it's original purpose - which is to play games. I don't want it complicated. I also have no interest in Kinect or Motion/Voice Recognition, honestly it sounds like such a typically lazy American idea - what the fuck is wrong with just using a controller? Again, I have no problem with it being available, I'm sure people are interested in this but I don't like that it's packaged in with it and so much focus has been put on it. It's all detracting away from what the Xbox should do. The controller is a bit of a monstrosity too. I would hazard a guess that 90% of customers don't have their Xbox in their living room too. And I will also be dubious of how much of the content they previewed will actually be available in the UK. I haven't been impressed with either console thus far - although granted not much of the PS4 has been revealed - but they seem to be focusing far too much on home entertainment and not gaming. If it's true that Microsoft are going with this preowned games idea then I highly doubt Sony won't, it would be suicide for Microsoft to go alone on it. What will happen to the likes of Lovefilm?
  3. How much of this is gonna be applicable to the UK Version's though?
  4. What time is this at today?
  5. A grand total of 1 more point over last season's total and that's without us there and an extra D1 team. Also turfed out of all cup competitions they competed in. Ross County manager deserved it, IMO.
  6. I have similar experiences with Sky, my satellite signal is constantly shocking meaning channels break up and in some cases drop out completely. Had zero help from them too.
  7. Moyes has the best record as a manager on money management in the whole league?
  8. Priced both Sky and BT up there, tried to pick the same package for each TV, Internet and Phone. BT - TV Essential Extra with BT Sport HD, Unlimited BT Infinity 2 and Line Rental with Unlimited Evening and Weekend calls is £44.45 for 3 months then £50.45 thereafter. Sky - TV Entertainment Extra with Sport and ESPN, Sky Fibre Unlimited and Line Rental with Talk Weekends is £92. Obviously you would get more sports with the Sky Sports package, but the BT internet is better depending on your area. For my interests, BT is far better value for money, nearly half of Sky with both similar packages.
  9. Can see why they would be interested in him. He brought in players who preformed in Europe on a shoestring budget, it's right up Everton's street.
  10. Seems to be a lot of suggestions that Fergie wasn't happy with how David Gill is leaving and how little influence he had over it. Seems they were both pretty close, business wise and personally.
  11. Madrid, Chelsea, PSG, United, Bayern, possibly City and Barcelona could all potentially have new managers. 7 of the biggest names in football currently.
  12. Am I the only one not convinced by Moyes whatsoever? He seems like a 'safe' appointment. He's won nothing with Everton, people seem to throw out the cliche that he has no money to work with but you don't need tons of money to have good players, plus he has Fellaini, Baines, Jagielka, Jelavic, Howard, Anichebe who are all very decent players. Swansea have only been in the EPL 2 seasons and they already have a trophy. He has no European experience, he's gonna get thrown right into it next season in the CL group stages. The stat that was produced earlier was staggering, never in 10 years won at Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge or the Emirates? Moyes has done a good job at Everton, no denying it. But I honestly think he's over-hyped and the whole "no money" gets bandied about far too much for me. He might go and prove me wrong, but I think United will hit a decline for 2-3 seasons, but it seems like the United board are willing to take that risk because Moyes has 'longevity'. Although 1 thing he should do is bring in Baines and Fellaini, who would both be very good signings.
  13. Because Moyes' contract isn't expiring for another load of weeks. United board won't want to be without a manager for that long, it'll have a negative effect on a lot of things.
