Yep, nothing says 'heading for a hiding' quite like 15 clean sheets.

This is exactly the right time to highlight this.  There's such a lack of anything else newsworthy happening just now that it's bound to make the headlines.

But I can't reveal my Turkey and Kamberi source...........

To be honest, it's not his comments about Traynor that should see him banned from the BBC.   The rhetoric of his comments regarding 'evidence' of racism should be deeply worrying to any right-minded person.  He was practically victim-blaming and it's astonishing more hasn't been made of that aspect of his comments in this day and age.

It's impossible to imagine a Jamie Carragher or Gary Neville sitting in a Sky studio discussing allegations of racism saying things like :

"If you're going to make claims like that you need to have evidence... WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE?"

It's not an exaggeration to say it'd be front page news.

Foreby anything else, his comments were just ridiculous.  For his point to be valid he'd need to be suggesting that Alfredo has NEVER been racially abused.  I doubt there's any person of colour living in this county who has never encountered racism, let alone a high profile footballer.

The thing about Provan's piece is that, in a different context, he might be able to argue that his comments were simply about the passion of football in Glasgow.

But to write that peice in response Morelos stating he's been racially abused is flat-out racism and would, in any other context, see him sacked and blacklisted.

Yet in Scotland you can write “If you cant take the vitriol, you are in the wrong city” which is lets face it, is just a different way of saying “go back to where you came from”, which would involve police action anywhere in the UK (even Scotland but only if said to a player from one shameless yet shameful team).

Bizarre comments on a par with Provan’s piece about being in the wrong city. Polar opposite of the headlines concerning Lennon...
