That just sounds awful to me, with most of the goals we’ve conceded this season coming from our left side, an out of position out of match sharpness Halliday and an unfit Wallace or pish hodson just isn’t what we need there. I think Murphy has the engines to bomb up and down that flank along with docherty covering as he did on Saturday.

How can you not? I don’t think Wallace will be risked and the thought of Halliday or hodson gives me the boak. It’s the best option IMO.

I said to my brother yesterday morning that Bates should start because first and for most he is a good defender. Quite frankly if there is a cross and he clears it, that’s good enough for me. As for the rest of the defence more than happy with them today however it’s that level of consistency they need to find, it’s all well and good for Jon and Tav to have there men in back pockets today but it’s all about stopping the cross from Killie and St Johnston. To be fair to Murts, what else formation/selection wise could he have done tonight? Hodson at left back? No thanks. Candias would have shat himself in that game with all the hard tackels flying in. I would have played Pena but clearly Murty doesnt fancy him at all. We are very stretched right now.
