  1. Both sides got what they deserved from that match from the level of effort and application they put in. Like a string of managers before him, Clement will pay the price for putting his faith in the wrong players.
  2. Can't keep glossing over the glaring deficiencies in Taverniers game just because he bulks up his numbers by taking penalties and every single set piece.
  3. Business end of the season and we've conceded 6 goals in 2 games, all of which were avoidable. The annual post christmas collapse is an expectation from this group of players, it's just been a little later in coming than usual this season.
  4. I full expect the same type of performance against Hearts next week and the season will be over with little more than a whimper. The usual suspects will breathe a sigh of relief that the pressures off and they'll come onto a game for a few meaningless kickabouts at the end of the season.
  5. Already looking forward to the Captain's post match interview on how once again it was "disappointing".
  6. It's 100% on him gambling that Dessers and Silva would be enough firepower to win the title.
  7. Exactly what most of saw coming and what we deserve. Fucking change things Clement, you must have seen enough. I swear at times some of our players don't want to win anything. They're just happy ambling along picking up a hefty wage for nothing. Fuck off.
  8. We're always a complete shambles defensively when Barisic, Goldson and Tavernier are together. Barisic in particular looks like he's struggling to cope with the white hot atmosphere of a hostile Global Energy Stadium.
  9. Looked like he was doing everything he could not to have to header the ball and face a repeat of his OG against Benfica. Was never in the right position to clear it even if the ball had continued on it's original trajectory.
  10. Has done well to battle back, unfortunately although it wasn't a career ending injury he suffered it certainly looks like a career limiting one. I'd expect him to be limited to appearances off the bench for the rest of the season and then moved on in the summer for someone more robust that can contribute fully.
  11. Had a thankless task in the first half with the way the whole team played but particularly Silva, Lawrence and Wright, all three were hopeless. He's no world beater but he is what he is and won't be our starting number 9 next season, unless Clement has completely lost his mind. So just have to hope that he can be a nuisance to defenders and pick up a few important goals to help bring home the treble.
  12. Hopefully a treble this season and he'll see that as the perfect send off and he'll be off to pastures new, followed by Goldson. Sick of the pair of them confusedly looking at each other with their arms in the air after yet another mistake.
  13. 100%. Had enough of watching Goldsons laboured 'running' around the park, he's getting slower by the week. Baloguns recovery pace is his biggest asset and he's better in the air as well.
  14. When he came off at the end there I'll be honest in saying I won't be fussed at all if he's facing a spell on the treatment table. I'd be happy with Balogun and Souttar until the end of the season.
  15. Yeah I thought so too, the only thing he offered above Lawrence was the wind up factor, he really gets under their skin. I do think we would have played better in the first half though if he'd started.
  16. Lawrence looks finished, the injury has ruined him. Lundstram hit more passes straight out of play than to a blue jersey today, he's all blood sweat and snotters and just gets passed around by any midfielder with a bit of intelligence. I wouldn't be offering him an extension, I'm sure there are better options out there.
  17. I'd argue most of them don't, they've proved it time and time again. Pace and athleticism is what will win us this league, not the likes of Wright and Lawrence struggling around the pitch.
  18. Would have taken that at half time. But how come we're full of fight after the final whistle when it doesn't matter but an absolute bunch of spineless wimps for the entire first half?
  19. Fuck right off. Southgate won't need to bother watching Butland again that was a howler from him.
  20. After a promising start when he joined I'm not convinced he's worth the outlay in the summer we've committed to.
  21. Ah fuck. Was never going to stand after giving a penalty for pretty much the same foul
