  1. And first thing tomorrow morning the rebuild will start with the club 'delighted to announce' contract extensions for Arfield and Jack and player/coach roles for McGregor and Davis.
  2. Unless Postecoglu leaves in the summer we'll be double digits behind in the league after the new year derby having lost both old firms, and if we get a tricky draw probably out of the league cup as well. If we see Morelos, Kent, Barisic, McGregor etc again then it's a huge red flag before we even get to the summer.
  3. Pressure well and truly on Beale now, once again he's got it completely wrong against them and once again put his misguided trust in players who have regularly failed to turn up against them and won't be here next season. Outwith Cantwell and Raskin (who still has a question mark over him for me) I would be happy if none of that squad are here next season, there's a complete rebuild required across the entire squad but I can't say I have any faith in it not turning into our usual shitshow.
  4. Just when you think our defence can't sink any lower they go and do that. Not sure you'll find many teams with a back 5 who are as weak mentally as they are physically, but we've managed it. Conceding the same type of goal time and time and time again and the whole lot of them literally just standing looking at each other. And as for Kent, he's gone straight from Juranovics back pocket into Johnstons, anonymous.
  5. He's a player you'd throw on late in a game if you have nothing to lose, hoping he'll cause a bit of chaos and it might lead to a goal. But in the starting 11 week in week out, no chance. I've seen primary school kids in the playground with more awareness of the offside rule, it's embarrassing at times.
  6. It was like they thought the referee had blown his whistle the way they just stopped completely. Will be another struggle in the second half, most of our team are not really up for it any more especially when they're getting bullied by what is pretty much a team of body builders with negligible footballing ability. Doesn't help when Main can commit foul after foul before he even gets a 'talking to' though.
  7. When it comes to old firm games he's come straight out of Juranovics back pocket into Johnstons. Didn't show any desire to get involved in fifty-fifties or take a chance and make something happen, looks to me like a player who doesn't want to risk getting injured and scupper his next move.
  8. Agree 100%. There is zero benefit to us a club now continuing on with the likes of Kent and Morelos going through the motions until the season finally ends.
  9. You must be forgetting that the tarriers are terrified of him, if you believe what you read on here anyway
  10. A young lad who's only been here a matter of weeks showing up most of our senior players who yet again capitulate at the first sign of a green and white jersey. There are too many mental scars now for too many of this squad, Beale knows it himself that a clear out is required, hopefully he shows the ruthlessness required
  11. Could see Raskin getting visibly frustrated with the shite around him and lack of intelligent movement up front. Cantwell looked as full of running at the end as he had at the start, unlike some of the plodders we have strolling around the park. In an ideal world these two would be the only players from today's starting lineup in our first choice 11 for next season, unfortunately there's zero chance of that being the case.
  12. I was waiting for him to be taken off after 60 seconds as a precaution
  13. The club and it seems a decent proportion of our fanbase have developed a pathological fear of change, hence us sticking with the same players year after year clinging on to myths like Morelos can ragdoll an entire back four on his own and the tarriers are terrified of Kent. I'd happily see them out the door and into obscurity at whichever league they end up in. However as others have said I fully expect the same situation with these two as Goldson, no interest from the level of club they think they should be playing at and Ross Wilson waiting in the wings with a gold plated long term contract for them both so he can 'concentrate fully on strengthening other positions'. Which he'll then do by resigning McGregor, Jack, Arfield and Davis.
  14. Think it's a bit unfair on the board, after all they're currently tied up with their strategic planning on 'stopping the 10' in 7 years time. Fully expect the good news to come out now that the club is delighted to announce contract extensions for Arfield, Jack, McGregor and Davis as they're great lads to have around the place and know what being a Ranger is all about.
  15. Sakala is like when there's a sprinter playing in the Soccer Aid game, pace to burn but shite at everything else and zero awareness of what's going on around him.
  16. He was the 'brains' behind Gerrard's era so we were told. The fact we were fucking shite for a lot of that time is a reason to be concerned.
  17. I don't think their back four is any better than ours, the difference is their midfield run themselves into the ground and cover every blade of grass while ours jog around not breaking sweat and their forwards press and pressure high up the park whilst ours trip over their own feet and shin the ball out of play all the time.
  18. I've yet to be convinced he's not just another one off the conveyor belt of young, far too clever for their own good, hipster coaches who are full of impressive soundbites and can talk a good game on a whiteboard in a classroom but can't translate it to clear, effective methods on the training ground.
  19. Two of our three strikers are among our highest earners and are unable or unwilling to get fit and the other is a journeyman poacher completely unsuited to the way (I think) we want to play. We need at least four new attacking options - left and right sided forwards who actually contribute goals and two new strikers, all of whom need to be pacy and mobile as the lack of pace and and athleticism in our squad is chronic. As others have said, Morelos and Kent have had their time here and it's in everyone's best interests if they move on in the summer. We are by the far the biggest team either of them will ever play for and I expect them both to fade into obscurity when they do leave.
  20. Yip, clearly set up with a gameplay to contain them and slow the tempo down and played right into their hands. Needed to start on the front foot and match up with them in the middle of the park but instead we just looked scared of them again.
  21. At least Cantwell tried to press high up the park, the starting 3 midfielders looked like they'd given up the minute the game kicked off.
  22. Fucked that with the utter balls up of a starting line up and fucked it again with not changing it quick enough. If we'd started with midfielders who could actually be arsed breaking into a sweat we'd have won it. Beale HAS to learn from that.
  23. Chasing shadows for 45 minutes. We're miles off it today, no energy or effort in the middle of the park at all. Honestly can't work out what our tactics are other than to launch it up the park to no-one and hope for the best. Beale has got things badly wrong so far, big change in personnel and attitude needed at half time.
  24. It's not sustainable and at some point we're not going to manage to get back into the game regardless of what Beale says or does at half time. Still think we're treading water a bit and struggling to implement what Beale wants, as we all know the squad desperately needs freshened up now. We can't afford to scratch around until the summer, we need new faces in the door to get then settled in and ready for an assault on the league next season.
  25. If they don't then Beale won't hang around long. Next two weeks will probably tell us everything we need to know.
