Hate everything about him. His shitey step overs, his gormless face, his stupid floppy hair that he spends half the game brushing behind his ears. Just get him to fuck. Unfortunately would need a club even more inept at recruitment than us and I don't think there is one in world football.

The sheep will put every ounce of planning and focus over the next few weeks into beating us in the cup final, they and their fans won't give a toss if they lose every game until then, it will be their sole aim. Our players will pitch up on the Sunday for a day out and consider it a nice bonus if we win and just another thing to learn from if we don't.

Disgusted by that tonight. There's maybe only Butland and McCausland in that squad I like but there are a growing number I actually hate now. The manager had better wise up quickly or he'll be the next one who they down tools under and cost him his job. He's not blameless himself tonight by any means but fuck me there were some woeful and frankly unacceptable individual performances tonight that the players should be ashamed of. But we know from experience they really won't be bothered one bit, they never are after a result like this. We won't learn from it and we'll do the same again countless times this season.

Most of our players simply don't have the same insatiable appetite for silverware as the fans, they give the impression that the odd cup is a nice unexpected bonus but if we don't win it's a shrug of the shoulders and off they go home. The 'second-best is ok' mentality is too deeply ingrained into the squad now to change without a major overhaul.

When GVB first came I remember he had Tavernier (and Barisic) sitting further back, defending first and foremost and it didn't really work. Under Beale the 'tactics' were to push them both up the park all the time and have all our attacking play through the pair of them. Clement seems to have found a happy medium with Tavernier where his attacking threat isn't stifled but he's not always attacking for the sake of it and his defensive duties aren't completely neglected. He looks fitter, or less bulky, as well even since just a few weeks ago which makes a big difference.
