A good post and I highlighted the most relevant point. We have needed leadership on-field for a few years now. Tav and Goldson are not leaders, they show no drive for others to follow, neither show any ability to inspire or cajole others. They show a defeatist attitude instead of a winning mentality when the chips are down. A more gutless pair it's difficult to find.

Managed to scrape the win but having scored 16 goals against hibs in 3 previous games expected a better result. The team has dropped 7 points in their last 4 league games before today. I'm not convinced in the manager.

My point was simply that Koeman wasn't a permanent defender. Derek Johnstone played forward, midfield and defence and scored more than 200 goals. I'm not for one minute claiming Tav is anywhere near Koeman's tally. Tav's goal record is purely at club level whereas the likes of Ramos and the rest have international goals added. Outstanding no matter how we compare him.

About half a dozen players guilty of encroachment. The Hibs player (5th player in from the right) is by far the worst as he is about a yard in front of the D at that point. VAR clearly forgot that encroaching in the D is an offence.
