  1. A number of Celtc players did have to pay tax bills when their film partnership scheme was deemed a tax avoidance vehicle. Most people who enter into these schemes do so in the knowledge that it isn't guaranteed to work. As long as the scheme is registered with HMRC then there are no penalties to pay if the scheme fails, only the tax due. The member of the scheme is no worse off than if they had just paid the tax at the start. These schemes are entered into by the individual not the company (football club) so it is beyond the football authorities remit. We are all well aware of the media and the way it operates. There is more chance of hell freezing over than the media pursuing Celtc players
  2. They won't be able to. When you enter into a tax avoidance scheme, there is a section of the terms of business which states that the scheme is based on their interpretation of tax law at that time and that there is risk attached to it. If you don't want to face that risk, then you just pay the tax. The film and music partnership schemes are vastly different to EBT's and the Aikido schemes which replaced them.
  3. Ally McCoist was my idol growing up, however he is a terrible manager. We were unravelling long before admin. The pressures at the club before admin were the sort of pressures that virtually every club in Scotland lives with on a daily basis. Many of the clubs in our country are one bad winter (postponed home games) away from serious financial problems. He managed to give us a lead in the league but the football was appalling and he very quickly lost that lead. I actually believe that going into administration saved McCoist's job. What I will say however is that McCoist had a very poor start as a player with us and he showed the mental strength to come through that. If anyone can come through this sort of a start as a manager then it's McCoist. I have my doubts but would be delighted if he did. He needs to bring in a proper assistant manager and someone who can actually coach the team.
  4. I'd be far more concerned about the money being spent on Durrant and McDowell than Jim Stewart. Those two were apparently on more last year than their counterparts at Manchester Utd. When we are struggling financially, the key should be seeking value for money. There is little doubt that Jim Stewart offers value. As for FD's of publicly listed companies earning £75k a year, that is just ridiculous nonsense
  5. I wouldn't blame anyone for boycotting the food outlets. It shyte
  6. Are you suggesting the tweet isn't about us?
  7. Are you suggesting that the original tweet was regarding a semi final between Dundee Utd and Celtc? The language used in the tweet is accepted as sectarian and derogatory towards Rangers. That may be historically inaccurate, but nonetheless is the reality of the world we live in today. Life would be much easier if everything was black and white like you're portraying. Sadly it isn't.
  8. Define the tactic working. I believe we have conceded 1 goal from a corner this year
  9. It all comes down to application, not fitness. Every team in our league raises their game when they play us. They find that extra 10% from somewhere. They can't do it every week but once in a while they can. That extra effort coupled with the reduction in effort from our players is what bridges the gap. The blame has to lie with the manager. It appears to me that the acceptable standards within the club are far too low.
  10. I'd be delighted if you were right and the club took action
  11. It's not the fact we've had a loan that needs the announcement. It's because it came from a shareholder. Even if it was part of the plan, they would still have to announce it to the market. If we'd got a short notice loan from a bank that wasn't part of the business plan it wouldn't require an announcement
  12. We all know what he was really saying. But he can spin it. "How disingenuous was Wallace being?" The answer can range from not at all, blatantly lieing
  13. Really? Surely the fact that directors and other shareholders are willing and able to inject cash where needed proves that there is no chance of administration. Wallace has been perfectly open that costs are far too high so he's not exactly hiding anything
  14. It does cover them. Basically the question is asking if he is being disingenuous. Everyone knows what he is really saying but that is their get out
