That’s not true. Every team we beat in the knockout stages on the road to Seville are in it this year. We were genuinely unlucky last year with the draw. Napoli were the best team in Europe and we competed with them til the red card at Ibrox. Liverpool are Liverpool but we had King and Sands at centre back and they are bringing on Salah who is desperate to score every game. The games against Ajax I just think we were caught in the headlights in the first game and the last game was basically a non event. We will be in pot 2 for the new format so we can certainly compete with the right draw.

It’s not a negative though either. I personally don’t use the fanzone before games but plenty do. The new club shop is a better experience including the wee cafe and obviously the museum. The actual building is a better look than what was there previously. It’s not even in a stadium. It’s a bit of game time for 2 teams who are at the same complex at the same time on a training pitch. It’s not hard to grasp why there are no fans there.

That’s why revealing stuff like this is stupid. I know people are desperate to be itk but revealing it will make it worse. It’s a relaxing training session it’s not like these fans genuinely causing the players and problem. But when it hits the media it’s going to get blown out of proportion and will potentially cause problems rather than just ignoring it in the first place like should’ve happened.
