  1. For me its either going to be a CVA and if we dont agree a CVA with our creditors then we will go down the Pheonix club route.

I dont know what this "pre-pack" admin thing is but Leeds went down the Pheonix Club route, A CVA is used to pay back the creditors(HMRC etc). If they all agreed on a CVA we would pay back something like 10p to the pound on all the debts we owe. That is the best route because we would come out of Administration.

Here is a good posting summing up the Pheonix club route.

"As phoenix club we wouldn't lose any history. The club, stadium, training ground, etc would be transferred from one company; currently 'The Rangers FC Group Ltd.' to a new company. Examples of where this have happened are Leeds United and Celtic. We would be the same club.

What the OP is referring to is Rangers FC being liquidated and a group of fans (for example) starting a new club, calling it Glasgow Rangers (for example). This new club would not be The Rangers FC. But a phoenix club would still be The Rangers FC.

Complications of creating a phoenix club are listed here: http://sport.stv.tv/...hoenix-company/

Obviously every current fan of Rangers FC would support a phoenix club (As it would be the same club, same history, same tradition), unless they are glory hunters (as the next few years may not be as successful as we are used to).

I guess a number of fans would not support a newly formed club, as actively as they do now. As we would lose our history, traditions etc (As happened with Airdrie - Airdrieonians. And Wimbledon FC - AFC Wimbeldon)"

Im not very good at this stuff either but this is what I have gathered from reading on here.

It seems Whyte has put pressure on the creditors to accept a CVA because with him putting us into Administration he is the secured creditor. So because he waived that cash over we owe him in the region of 20-30 million if liquidated and because he is a secured creditor and HMRC are an unsecured creditor he is guaranteed his money and would be paid first whereas the other creditors are next in line after him. So if you are being realistic the other creditors are not going to get a penny that they are owed if they go down that route. Thats why HMRC tried to put us into Administration at the last minute so they would be the preferred creditor. Thankfully that never happened.

My only concern is that with him basically shafting HMRC they may just be ruthless about it.

I may be wrong but thats what I have gathered from the situation.

    Good detailed post mate. (tu)

Tried to give you a rep twice, but don't know if they went through. <cr>

  2. (tu)

Im with you on that mate, too many fans of other teams are too naive to see how devastating no OF games in the spl would mean to the league as a whole, be that the actual football on offer or the tv deal.

They can all take a flyin fuck to themselves if things get really bad for us ( I cant even say the word it makes me cringe :anguish: )

Not going to happen mate, keep the faith.

The Rangers are going nowhere except back to their rightful place as the top team in Scotland. (tu)

  3. It's still only a forum-driven petition, mate. There have been plenty on here and they hold no sway whatsoever. Hearts fans are the least of our problems just now.

Not saying they're a problem in the least Casey, merely pointing out that it's the the thought that counts, and hopefully someday we can return the gesture.

Maybe it's just me, but I more expected that from the taigs and not these arseholes. (tu)

  4. Do no other clubs realise that the old firm, collectively are central to any broadcast deals with Sky and ESPN?!

The spl can't afford us to be "kicked out".

No Rangers in SPL= Goodnight Scottish Football.

Their twistedness and jealousy will have them cut their noses off to spite their faces no problem, and worry about the consequences later.

  5. We won't forget this when the time comes.

You have to laugh at them, given their state is near catastrophic then let them have their fun because it won't be long before they are even more fucked.

Exactly, of all the clowns to be talking rules and principals to anybody. (tu)

  6. Theres none as blind as those who cannot see...

I really hope ALL our fans can get together in the future and return the compliments.

Never saw their petitions when it came to the likes of Dundee and the Well (no dig at those 2 teams BTW, I was glad to see them get back on their feet).

  7. Erm, Hearts would be begging Rangers back once they look at the revenue figures in the P&L account.

I hope our new owners and fans have memories like elephants.

One good thing about our situation is that will leave us in no doubt where the Bears should shit.

  8. Agree 100%. I've said my fair share of bad words about Salmond over the years, but his support now is more important than any hidden agenda. Rangers matter more to me than regional politics.

Just this once - on yer sel big man.

Another reason I hope the fans behave on Saturday, we need public opinion to be behind us as much as possible also.

  9. Funny seeing Alex Salmond wrapping himself up in the Union Jack! Follow Follow Alex, huh?

This is what George Galloway had to say about it on twitter the fuckin scum bag.

If he gets the tarriers beelin then good on him. (tu)

  10. He is a fucking prick.

Agreed, but credit where it's due.

He said we were a "vibrant part of Scottish culture" and the taxman should cut us some slack and arrange payments.

Can't fault him for saying that, even if it's for votes (that he probably won't get anyway).

  11. correct minn

    (tu)

I honestly think we come out of this with a buyer.

People saying why did they not step up sooner, we are in no position to be dwelling on things like that.

The rangers need saving, so please step up Paul Murray (or anyone else who has our interest at heart), and tell us how we can help.

  12. Don't know if this has been posted, stole it from a poster on FF.

    Can anybody confirm ?

Just received this from my area delegate.

Representatives from the Rangers Supporters Assembly took part in a telephone conference call with one of the administrators, Paul Clark of Duff and Phelps, this evening.

Paul reaffirmed the key messages in their statement issued earlier today and the key points that were clarified in our discussions were:

    -Saturday's match will go ahead

-Season tickets will remain valid for the remaining home matches

-Tickets purchased for Inverness next weekend will be valid

-Constructive meetings have been held with key stakeholders - HMRC, SFA, Police, Auditors - and these will continue

-Unlikely there will be audited accounts or an AGM, however, all the financial affairs will be fully examined

-Strong assurance that the Club will emerge from administration and liquidation is extremely remote

-Paul was not yet in a position to determine how long the period of administration may last but stated that he saw the administration as temporary.

the reason hmrc went to court yesterday is that

since whyte took over,£9 million pounds in tax,n i contributions and vat have been deducted from source.

from wages of players down to the wages of catering staff etc.

and they have not rec one penny.

this is illiegal and whyte has fucked off to monaco before he is arrested

If what a lot of us fear is true then he should be extradited straight to the Bar-L, (I would think solitary would be his safest bet).
