  1. No offense to the boy, but only weeks ago it was "Kerkar's on we're taking the pish", now it's "Kerkar's on, hopefully to save the day". I was watching that game and remembering 2 yrs when we trashed United 7-1 and boyd got 4 (?). Honest to God I felt like greetin. How can we expect to win the league when at least once a year we let the league's top striker go ? Now we've run out of them completely, so it's time to pay the piper (I,don't get on Ally's case much, but FFS a blind man could see it coming).
  2. You could always give his door a wee chap and ask. Unless his castle has a moat.
  3. My two cents. Do any of us know enough enough to pass a verdict in this ? The bbc love to put the boot into Rangers, I don't think too many of us would dispute that. Craig Whyte has a shady past which involves winding up companies who are in bother, and has very little in the way of glowing references from these companies to say he was successful (to their benefit, and not just Whyte's) and that they would use his services again or recommend to friends or others. The bbc says Whyte may have omitted or lied about things in court to cover up past financial misdeeds. Craig Whyte says it's a lotta shite and threatens to take them to court which he has not done so far (or attempted any gag orders as far as we know). BBC does not seem too worried about any lawsuit, in fact seem to goading him into one. At stake is the very survival of our club, and I for one would not dare believe one side or the other here, keeping in mind the warnings from past board members (yes, they probably have an axe to grind also) and IMO the fact that Craig Whyte has been a little misleading when communicating to us fans about some of his dealings with our finances. Again IMO, how can we pass any judgement here going by the lack of true hard facts and considering whats at stake ? Right now there is very little we can do about it either way, but if we always say it's not a problem no matter what, we will never start to look for ways of solving it. P.S. I don't think the bbc could use any other term than "may have" as it could jeopardize any possible court proceedings against mr Whyte, same as when the polis catch a murderer with a head in his hands the can only call him a suspect.
  4. That's good family planning, his wean will get to wear his cast affs.
  5. "I haven't gone as far as finances but I know there are two or three that would be appealing to us." Erm, mibbee be a good idea to check with the man about them sooner than later Ally.
  6. We will be investing fuck all, cutting back again more like.
  7. We all said last summer we needed to add a striker to what we fuckin had, instead we sell the only one we had. This team is winning fuck all.
  8. We have all we're getting till the end of the season mate, unless Ally walks on his own.
  9. Anybody think this is a winning anything strike force ?? A want to greet, honest to fuck.
  10. The refs wont touch them (check the stats) The compliance officer wont touch them (check the stats) The media won't touch them (check the telly and the papers) The SFA ?? (have a guess). Hard no to be mopey when it's slappin you in the face. Is it any wonder green teeth is all mr serenity now ?
  11. Thanks for the answers I am not pro or anti anybody, but as Craig Whyte knows, we did not find out about Murray's shenanigans until he was off, so even he should appreciate that the fans don't want sucker punched again. IMO it's too early to fully trust anyone, but that does not mean I don't wish Craig Whyte all the success in the world.
  12. Here's mine from a previous thread. Where did the ST money we tapped go ? Did we tap the catering money also, if yes, where did that go ? Where did last yrs CL money go ? Where will Jelavic's money go ? Where will the saved wages from the players we cut loose this window go ? Remembering that even if we'd made CL money this year, it would not be due yet, how come we brought the money owed the bank way down to 18 mill before Whyte arrived yet we need all the above monies just to keep us going ? How much do we owe now, and who to ? How can none of us find out about Whyte's "wealth" or past "successes" (even after all this time) ? If he had plans to bleed us dry, could he get away with it (and could the fans do anything to stop him) ? If Whyte is being honest, why no financial reports (and is this normal) ? If Whyte is a chancer, how did he pass due diligence ? Can all the ex board members be wrong and Whyte right (is it all sour grapes) ? Why was Sir Minty visiting last week (I don't buy the doctor story)? As it has been said on here that Traynor is Minty's lapdog, could it be probable that he tipped him off about the 5 pager in the Record ? Are we Daffy ducked (notice I have not even touched on the tax case) ? Is there anything us fans can do to help if we are ?
  13. So now, if what he says is true about not borrowing against the ST money to buy us, he borrows over 24 million + catering money? + gets over 5 million for Jelavic + gets 11 players off the wage bill, all that for running costs yet can't afford a player on loan ? The old mob must have stretched that 15 to 18 million really well. Not a dig mate, just confused.
  14. Then how come we were able to use whacks of the CL monies to bring down the debt, pay off outstanding transfer fees we still owed (wasn't it about 8 million ?) and buy Jelavic and still show a profit ?
  15. I think it's more a case of not wanting to look for the worst, because if we see it we won't know what the fuck to do about it (a Romanov type of deal).
  16. Does anyone know how much the money we've tapped adds up to ? A lot keep talking about no CL money, but remember a lot of the previous CL monies were being used to take chunks off the debt and pay off remainders of transfer fees we still owed.
  17. I think there's a big difference between surrendering and wanting to know about how we are being run by a new owner we know absolutely zero about.
  18. All the more reason for once bitten...... I agree with you about Minty, but Whyte has the the reins now and IMO he's not done much to reassure us he's trying to do a better job (or that he's more straight up)
  19. I think you will have a lot more posters agreeing with your take on Mr Whyte now.
