This is the problem.  We expect this lot to fall in line with the players McGregor had during his first spell with us.  We aren't getting it, so everyone is going crackers when things don't go our way.  
Reality check.  These guys are not the nine-in-a-row players.  Someday we will get that again,  but not this season unfortunately.  The midfield alone is not remotely near that level.  
I agree,  no one will ever know why they decided to come out angry.  I can only put it down to majorities last meet with them,  what was discussed between players and perhaps whatever was whispered in the tunnel beforehand that got their backs up.  They were all over the place and lost the plot. It was a very strange game.  For me,  this was their absolute worst game to watch temperament wise.  

Totally agree it's hugely frustrating.
We played some really good football on Sunday make a few changes for last night and it's total polar opposite. I'd have played the exact same team as we did on Sunday bar Arfield.

Morelos has been excellent this season no denying that I was a critic of him last season, was a critic of last night performance as well but I can see under Gerrard he's improved. Tavernier is a modern defender who is still suspect defensively but has improved massively with the introduction of Candeias but I still think McGregor's on a different level to both of them. 
He's a throwback to when we had real quality players and could walk into any great team we had.

We should always play our best team till a players level drops or one of the squad players is just to good to leave out we are tinkering for the sake of it.

I don't know why he keeps changing one of the CBs for every game.
To me you'd want players building up a good relationship especially your CB's so they can work off each other.

You could sort of see what he was trying to do at half time, but with Ejaria and Coulibaly in the middle of the pitch it was an almost impossible task. 
Desperately need a #10 in January. 

I know a great deal has been made about when we go to 10 men and how we cope but it is in stark contrast to the opposite. 
The sub at half time and shift of positions which eventually led to candieas playing in the middle effectively had us playing with 10 men as well. It stripped away our width and kept us compact which was exactly what aberdeen needed. We needed to go as wide as possible and get crosses into the box with 2 strikers the box. 
I appreciate Gerrard is still learning and player performance overall also contributed to the pathetic display yesterday but at times I find his selections pre match and subs / tactic changes during it baffling.

People will make all the excuses in the world but the fact is that's another massive game where we have bottled it. It's a list that keeps fucking growing because we lack that mentality.

The worst thing about it was that rat bastard McInnes and his whole taig backroom staff have made us look like mugs again..........

I just see him as a complete luxury player. Has the skills that would allow him to ruin you at fives but is pretty hopeless in an actual real match environment.

It's getting to be a pattern at this point. 2 sheep games now, livi away, killie at home. They've all been virtually identical types of games and we've no answer for it.

Spot on. And more specifically our midfield needs beefed up as a matter of urgency. 
We will be bullied for the rest of the season if we don't do something in January about this.  

He's a good player and a much-improved player he's ten times better than last season but he's nowhere near the quality of McGregor none of the team are.

This is spot on. He has let the Club down on many occasions now and last night he should have been hooked. It’s totally his fault that he isn’t learning but also the managers for not seeing the warning signs that were so visible.

He’s not blameless but for me Arfields absence was felt by him too. Arfield is in the opposing box often, his presence helps Alf, he’s moving people about, creating space. Alf looked isolated last night and had scraps to work with. The worrying thing for me is we’ve seen that before when SA hasn’t played and repeated the mistakes. 
Eqaully why on earth someone doesn’t take him aside and tell him to screw the nut is beyond me, I’m not saying he’s not accountable for his actions but ffs it doesn’t mean everyone round about him should just let it happen. If SG, our captain and others on that park couldn’t see what was so clearly coming i’m stunned tbh. 
Frustrating night 

Well keeping him on meant we lost the extra man advantage very quickly, and it was so obvious at half time I would definitely have taken him of.
He was playing well below his normal standard and losing the plot, management is about what was best for the second half last night and Steve has to take his share of the blame IMO. 

Gerrard seems scared to take him off as when he does he goes in the Huff should never have made it out after halftime most said in the match thread he wanted or was looking to get sent off.

Actually pulls off a couple or three real quality turns, tackles, or whatever, each game.
Then spoils it by giving it away, knocking it off the end of the park or playing it back to the defender who gave it him🙈

Surprised Ejarias still getting picked if i'm honest he turns himself more than he does other players, played a good through ball to Lafferty tonight but never really offered enough.

What's frustrating is Gerrard should have subbed him you just knew he was getting sent off if he did not calm down.

Poor tonight even in the match thread we all knew he needed to be subbed before he was sent off.
