delamonty reacted to Ace in Ibrox Memorial Garden
AN UNUSED car park at Ibrox stadium could be turned into a memorial garden by Rangers Football Club.
The city football club have submitted plans to Glasgow City Council to build a memorial wall which would contain a section for the interment of the mortal ashes of Rangers FC supporters.
The club say that they want to turn an unused car park at Copland Road into a memorial garden which would have a wall, gates, fencing, public realm improvements and associated works.
The memorial garden would operate 8am to 8pm daily if the plans are given the go-ahead.
Drawings for the ambitious plans reveal that the club also want to have an Ibrox Disaster memorial within the garden.
A total of 66 lives were lost and more than 200 people were injured during the 1971 Ibrox disaster which was a crush among the crowd at an Old Firm game.
The plans also show there will be an interactive pod with an Android tablet and charging points for smartphone devices.
A decision for the plans is expected in March.

delamonty reacted to K.A.I in Kenny Miller > Pedro Caixinha
I’m sorry I’m no looking for an argument but it has to be said the ones who called him for everything and took Pedro’s bullshit as gospel need to hang their heads in shame.
That aside that performance today was what we’ve been crying out for - that’s what a back to basics competent manager brings you.
The second half we had belief and fight which is all we’ve been lacking .. that and some basic organisational skills
I’m not a fan of his overall but wee Holt was superb covered every blade and was winning 50-50’s with ease
Those full backs of ours though .. anguish
but to end on a positive young McCrorie was superb a mature showing - couple of stray passes aside. Him and Alves need to play for an understanding to develop imo

delamonty got a reaction from delparlane in Exactly why the tartan army can go and take two fucks to themselves
I'll always support my country. That said...
When we went down to the lower divisions, for some reason Lee Wallace went from being the best left back in Scotland to not being selected -- overnight. How the fuck was that possible? The attitude of the tartan army makes it difficult as well. It will never be one support -- as it should be. Actually, quite sad about that. There should be nothing better than seeing your country play -- all in in it together etc.
Another glorious failure as well. And Strachan saying something incoherent about being genetically behind.. wtf?

@Rfc52 thought you were a fairy in the sky.
To be fair the song does show just hypocritical some have become.
Don't care about the McCanns they brought it on themselves.
Its in very poor taste in my personal opinion, but not in the same league as publically singing about the killing of a serving soldier or glorification of terrorism against our nation on a grand scale.

delamonty reacted to To Be A Ranger in Exactly why the tartan army can go and take two fucks to themselves
Ha haha. I read this as well. Apparently other sides are bigger than us and that makes them too hard to play against. What a mentality for a manager to have. It's not u13s vs u18s, it's men vs men and the manager should be selecting his best (not favourite) XI and employing tactics that win games.
Elsewhere I see that Argentina were warned that their youth system needed overhauled years ago. They didn't do it and are now on the brink of failing to qualify and having few quality young players ready to break through.
For decades our country has been on about developing the best youths no matter their size but looks like we haven't learned much. Germany went through a similar situation to Argentina years ago but overhauled their system and got it right. Argentina will get it right. Scotland won't and will continue to go backwards.
