  1. He said that he does quite alot with transfers, he is looking to bring in youth players to Murray Park and progress them to the first team.

Also that Rangers didnt tell the press everything in the summer about their transfers. They just confirmed after everything had been in the press.

  2. DORIN GOIAN has admitted that he can't wait for Sunday's Old Firm clash to come around so that he can sample the atmosphere that comes with one of the world's greatest derbies.

The Romanian defender has been in excellent form for the Light Blues following his summer move from Palermo and his 6ft 5" frame could come in handy this weekend in what is sure to be a fiercely contested battle between Scotland's top two sides.

Goian, however, is looking forward to the occasion and he has got his sights set on one thing only, to help his Rangers secure three points and extend their lead at the top of the SPL.

He said: "I have been thinking all week about this game.

"It will be my first derby in Scotland and I'm very curious about how it will be.

"I'm sure it will be a difficult game for us because Celtic are a good team.

"I think it will be a good atmosphere and the stadium will be full of course.

"I just hope we can win and that we can make our supporters happy.

"We must do this because we are currently at the top of the SPL and we want to keep that position."

Rangers have only conceded one goal in six league games so far in 2011/12 and Celtic are not far behind with keeper Fraser Forster beaten twice in the same number of fixtures.

Goian, however, believes his team has the firepower to cause Neil Lennon's backline problems and hopes this will prove the difference on the day.

He added: "Of course we do, I think at Rangers we have a very good team.

"We have very good strikers that have pace and can score goals.

"Kyle Lafferty has come back from injury and he has scored important goals when we have needed him to, including last weekend against Dundee United.

"Jela is also fine for Sunday which is great and we also have Naismith who is another player with excellent quality.

"He can play in midfield or in attack and has an important ability to get goals and make dangerous runs.

"So we have the players that can cause Celtic a lot of problems and we will all give 100 per cent to try to get a victory for our supporters."

    Step up and play Dorin!

  3. It would appear Weiss has turned out to be a world class player since the last time he played for us. Funny as fuck how some folk react. There was a petition on twitter earlier, demanding he be signed.

I reckon that he can only improve.

Hes certainly a game changer aswell.

  4. Well, I am just taking a guess but Larsson with number 7 obviously idolises Henrik Larsson and im guessing his dream would be to play for them just like Larsson?

Taking a guess tho mate but it could have legs.

He probably didnt choose that number, most wingers are number 7.

Seb Larsson who plays with Sunderland right now is also Swedish and number 7, that makes his dream to play for Celtic too and he idolises Henrik?

  5. American duo Bocanegra and Bedoya won't feature at Fir Park

Rangers have been foiled in their attempts to hand SPL debuts to American signings Carlos Bocanegra and Alejandro Bedoya on Sunday.

Neither of Ally McCoist's new recruits was able to rush through a visa on time to clear them for action against top of the table Motherwell.

The news is another blow in a troubled week for Rangers as McCoist's men are weakened in both defence and midfield for the test at Fir Park.

Bocanegra, who debuted in the Europa League defeat to Maribor on Thursday night, flew to Paris on Friday to bid for clearance to play in Scotland but the process could not be completed on time.

Bedoya, who penned a three-year deal after an undisclosed fee was agreed with Orebro, made his attempt at the US Embassy in Stockholm having already gained a work permit, but will also have to wait until early in the week for his visa.

Rangers have also submitted a work permit application with the UK Border Agency for Matt McKay, who is in Australia awaiting the go-ahead to start his Ibrox career next week.

McCoist is minus suspended midfielder Maurice Edu and injured central-defensive options Kyle Bartley, David Weir and Sasa Papac for the trip to Fir Park.

Rangers, meanwhile, have revealed they are trying to build on their higher profile in America after entering into discussions with the Fox Soccer channel.

Interest in the club has been raised on the other side of the Atlantic by the signings of Bocanegra and Bedoya, as well as the presence of Edu, and the Ibrox outfit are keen to explore the possibilities of a partnership with the Fox network.

With plans for a US tour next summer already in place, Rangers chief operating officer Ali Russell said: 'We are in initial discussions about developing a relationship with Fox and we feel there are exciting possibilities.

'There is increased interest in Rangers now and we are looking at supplying this new demand.'
