So I enjoy the challenge of navigating a foreign cities transport network rather than just being a shite bag and getting an uber....90 mins at spanish passport control did kill my enthusiasm slightly but at 10 euro instead of 40 for a taxi this would be worth a shot...Madrid metro here I come
After trekking from terminal 1>4 which was a strava worthy effort in its own - Warning signs were there early when there was a replacement servicio de bus sign at the metro entrance...
Not to be deterred Me and 2 other bears marched on....
Talking to them about seville when one of them says here I bet it the yellow and black construction just means that stop is out of use but it will skip it and we will get to the one we need for the metro transfer....I'm like aye OK that does sound feasible....so the train pulls into the last stop before the out of action bit and low and behold more people get on.... so I guess he is right
Doors closed and train starts moving.....back in the direction it came from the airport. Bastard.
One stop up I hop out and back to the other side to try again...the other 2 bears have admitted defeat and are off for a taxi...back we go and this time I disembark and the ticket barrier won't let me out....after some convincing the spanish guy let's me through....find the replacement bus and hwfg!
Get to the new metro station and my ticket won't let me through.....again I get some help from folk who speak zero English....and we are on the metro for another 1 stop where we need to switch again!
Turns out the next switch was from a subway to the "train train" which I only realised when surprise surprise my ticket didn't work....2 euro later and further directions from the High vis vests and I am now sunbathing from my hotel bed....13 hours of trae later absolutely fucked .... time to rest up...

Hopefully the train to seville on Tuesday goes a little more smoothly
