McCulloch took a paycut a few months ago and was only on around £16,000 before that Miller is supposedly on £16,000 a week at the minute Lafferty wouldn't be on £20,000 or anywhere near it Weir is either on £20,000 a week or £20,000 per match depending on what you believe (i hope to god its the first one)

It's been posted on here and FF on numerous occasions. Some reputable poster was told that Weir is actually paid on a match by match basis, and sometimes takes home 60 grand a week. Most people don't believe it but i just added it in before someone claimed i was wrong in saying none of our players earn more than 20k a week

*there is of course the rumour that Davie Weir is paid 20 grand per match, rather than 20 grand per week, but there's no conclusive proof of that

One or two? None of our players are on more than 20 grand a week. 40 grand a week is standard wage for a squad player for about 70% of EPL clubs

Whyte isn't going to start handing out 40 grand a week contracts so his takeover will have little bearing on McGregor staying. The more credible rumours are started by ex players or staff and passed on like wildfire. Some are simply made up by journalists on slow days.

When Stoke City are paying players 50 grand a week, you can't expect Rangers players not to care about money. Almost every player in our squad could double his wages tommorow by asking his agent to find an EPL club.

If he leaves he is certainly ending any prospect of being remembered fondly by the Rangers support

Beattie is 32 and was given a 2 year deal with a 1 year option if he plays enough games I have no idea why Miller hasn't been offered this

It has never been mentioned anywhere that Davis has been offered a new contract Papac hasn't either. About 3 months there was talk that he was "about to be" offered one but it hasn't materialised

The current squad would be like Stoke City; strong home record but almost never winning away from home With EPL money, we'd be a regular top 8 side and never even close to relegation. I don't believe we'd ever challenge for the league title though. The top players would always choose Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City over us.

I can sort of see why Brown's done it Motherwell are already punching above their weight and will soon lose all their best players as they can't afford to give them better contracts. At the age of 70, trying to restore a team to their former greatness must be a much more exciting challenge than trying to consolidate a reasonable team who won't get any better

Because when a team is consistently successful, the fans become lazy and turn up demanding to be entertained first. The more successful a British team is, the worse their home atmosphere. Expecting to win lessens the excitement and your desire to make noise.

If the rumour that Miller is leaving but Naismith is staying is true, i'm fine with it Naismith is a much cleverer player than Miller and someone who i think will be a brilliant partner for Jelavic It's weird, despite his goals, i've actually gone off Miller this season. His all round game has been shite and he's become the exact type of forward i dislike - the poacher who does little else. Naismith has been the one impressing me and i'd much rather he stayed than Miller

I think McGregor, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Weiss, and Miller will all be gone by next summer. Just a hunch. Papac will be offered a 1 year deal and probably turn it down for stability reasons. Think the Miller saga has dragged on too long for him to stay, and McGregor by all accounts is wanting wages that we cannot offer him. Tbh i'm pretty comfortable with those players leaving so long as we tie Naismith and Davis down to new contracts.
