I never watch the tarriers unless we are playing them and to be honest expected it to be a walk over for them today, goods to see they were run close.

I am sure/hope I will feel differently by 3pm on Sunday, but just at the moment I have very little confidence in the players turning around the last few shite performances.

No one can disagree with his goal numbers, they are outstanding, but I remember hoping when Gerrard came in he would name a new captain, that new captain probably needed to be bought in.
Unfortunately he continued with Tav and I think that was a mistake, because the longer he was captain the more difficult it was for a new manager to take it from him.
I believe Phil is waiting until the season is over, before deciding on many players for next season, and that could well include either selling Tav or taking the captains arm band from him.

Need to see what happens tomorrow night.
If we win then these fixtures will mean something, if we draw or lose then it will not matter unfortunately.

I agree with much of that, the only thing that might have to happen is sell Butland, not because I want to sell him, but he would probably bring in the most money. Hopefully that does not need to happen.
I also fear many of the players you and I want sold/get rid off, will still be here next season.

We'll need player sales and wages freed up when out of contract players go. Sale wise but Butland might be the only one that could fetch a decent fee.
There should be a lot of wages freed up with the number that are out of contract, but I just feel we need many more than them moved on and replaced. We would get money for some if we make the effort to sell.
It is a massive job, hopefully Nils Koppen can find some gems.
I know this is not for this thread, but I feel our board have to be looking for outside investment to come in as well.

We need a huge clear out, but how do we fund the new players we need to bring in, that is a big concern.

You are not alone in thinking that mate, it is incredible that the Ross C players seemed more up for the game than the Rangers players.
I am really sick of what I believe is mental weakness from a good number of players when real pressure comes on to win games when favourites.
