  1. I reckon Maidana took years off Khan, Garcia might have just put the finishing touches on his career.
  2. I can see the fight being pretty close for the first 6 rounds but there-after Floyd pot-shotting his way to a decision. Alvarez lacks the stamina or punch out-put to win in my opinion. He has a punchers chance and his hands are pretty quick, but he's not bringing anything Floyd hasn't seen or dealt with before. Guess it will depend on whether or not Floyd has finally aged in the ring.
  3. It's easy to see why Wilder has been moved relatively slowly. His power is real but he's still a bit raw. I'd like to see him fight Chisora.
  4. Apparently Burns was "50/50" about turning his back when he was trapped on the ropes due to the amount of pain he was in. Hopefully the WBO call for an immediate rematch. Beltran wants it in the US but will be hard to get this fight away from Glasgow.
  5. I think he will fight again. Too much money for him to make not to IMO.
  6. Ironically, it's likely that Burns will be stripped of his title if he's out for as long as suspected. If that's the case then Beltran should get the opportunity to fight for the vacant belt. If Burns isn't stripped, then he'll have to fight Terence Crawford next.
  7. Maybe, but I think that could unsettle him further and mean more disjointed performances. But you could be right, he's fought pressure fighters before, who at the very least are on the same level as Beltran, and he's dealt with them handily. No idea why he seems to have regressed.
  8. I like Burns but he lost that fight. Honestly think he needs better sparring, from what I've read the sparring he gets isn't great; certainly not on a par with the guys he is fighting.
  9. I like Crolla, nice guy, but he's a huge step back for Burns. Providing Burns gets by Beltran then it should be Vazquez or Abril next. Maybe even Gamboa - big name with HBO backing and a winnable fight.
  10. Stevenson vs. Cloud, Cotto vs. Rodriguez, Marquez vs. Bradley and Alvarado vs. Provodnikov will all be shown on Sky Sports.
  11. Mayweather vs. Alvarez All Access parts 1 & 2. Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U8hxJGWMQE Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8WowDkr ... e=youtu.be
  12. The only rankings I go by, however off they may be, are the one's from the sanctioning bodies because they're the only one's that mean anything.
  13. He fought for ranking titles which gave him a high ranking, but fuck knows why the WBA sanctioned those fights in the first place. I don't place any faith at all in BoxRec's rankings. Good site for searching records of fighters but awful in every other department.
  14. What rankings were you looking at? Quigg and Salinas are ranked 1 & 2 by the WBA.
  15. Nah, Bellew-Chilemba 1 & 2 were much, much worse than Pulev-Thompson. Was still an awful fight though.
  16. Abner Mares got knocked out by Jhonny Gonzalez last night.
  17. I think for as long as Frampton is fighting on BoxNation and Quigg on Sky then the fight isn't happening - world title or not.
  18. Well his team approached Romero for a fight but Romero and his team weren't interested, then Frampton got injured. Don't think his career has stalled that much, he's maybe 1 or 2 fights away from a mandatory slot.
  19. Quigg-Frampton isn't happening any time soon - even if Quigg does win a world title.
  20. Geale-Barker was a really good fight. Made up for Barker getting the win, I know it's a cliche but it really couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
  21. I like Geale by decision over Barker. As for Cleverly, a lot depends on how well he takes Kovalev's punches. If he can take them then he wins a decision.
  22. Cleverly-Kovalev and Geale-Barker this weekend. Both should be good.
  23. Amir Khan splits with his manager Asif Vali. Rumours that he'll link up with Al Haymon.
  24. Not a bad fight but it says a lot about Brook's career that this will be his toughest opponent so far.
