I'd be seriously tempted to drop Tav and give Hodson a shot. He cost us another goal at the weekend by being caught out miles up the park and then lunging in when he did eventually get back. He's also not causing as much of a threat going forward as he used to, so maybe being dropped will give him the kick up the arse he needs.

Tav has been our best defender, arguably best player this season so far though

Did you not see the game against Motherwelll? If Miller was where Andy Halliday ended up, and I'm still baffled as to how Andy ended up in those areas, then we would have been ahead in that second half a lot earlier. Miller out wide is a no no.

    Yes I was there.

I think Halliday has been asked to play the position Holt usually plays in but he just isn't as effective as Holt was.

Was saying that Lee Wallace is a better quality than Scott Brown and thus the actual entry (skill wise) isn't high.

Left back just happens to be a position Scotland have a few good options in.

The standard of quality throughout international squads obviously varies considerably. Look at Northern Ireland, you had Steven Davis playing for Southampton in the English premier league and Michael McGovern who played for Hamilton Academical in the same side.

You implying that Wallace isn't on the level of Scott Brown? He's not upto full boil right now, but Wallace has proved to be very capable at high levels in the past and has been called up to the scotland squad 8 times.

O'halloran would be good in the scotland squad tbh, he just needs to do his runs and cross the ball. and due to the way the Scotland squad operates, it'd fit in fine with them. but i agree he needs more game time first to get refined.

Lee Wallace plays left back, Scott brown was a central midfield player? I don't get your point?

Lee Wallace isn't at the level of Andrew Robertson, that was my argument and I stand by that. Robertson is also 7 years younger than Wallace.

Again there is a better current option than O'Halloran in the Scotland squad in Oliver Burke who plays for Nottingham Forest. He has been playing regularly and scoring whereas O'Halloran hasn't. If O'Halloran can make that right sided forward position his own with us then I've no doubt he'll get a call up in this campaign.

Wallace for sure since him being in the lower leagues was the only thing stopping his entry? Yet Mcginn is there?

Holt if he wasn't injured would do them favours, O'hallorans pace would be good to have.

Wallace isn't good enough to be first pick though, imo Andrew Robertson is a better player.

Yes, I hope to see Holt involved when he recovers from injury if he can force his way into our team.

I don't think O'Halloran is at that level yet, playing 20/30 minutes a game shouldn't merit an international call up. It's not as if he's shown in these appearances however I still think there's a player there.

  6. Why are the news even running with this?

Everyone knows Andre Gray had a rough upbringing and was involved in gangs until about 2011/2012. Are people really that shocked that he has sent out some ignorant tweets in the past?

He's not a media celebrity or a politician. He is simply a football player who made it big in the game later on than normal. Do they think he was getting media training from Conference league football clubs? It's the same with Jamie Vardy, these guys are normally blokes who have now become household names in a very short space of time simply because they are good at football.

  7. Wes

    Tav Kiernan Wilson Wallace

    Forrester Rossiter Barton

    Miller Garner McKay

Niko and Holt (if fit) coming off the bench

I wouldn't play Senderos in this game as I've no idea his level of fitness, I'd give him the full 90 against Linfield the week after though and also partner him and Hill together next month in the cup game versus Queen of the South.

  8. The tims are a lot sharper than us at this moment in time due to having played competitive European games early on as opposed to games versus Annan, East Stirlingshire etc.

Ideally I'd like a few more games before playing them away but it is what it is. The linfield game could be a good move by the club as its an extra game to bed in the new boys.

Hopefully we see a performance resembling a Warburton team from early on last season away at Kilmarnock on Friday. We've got a couple of wins now, 7 points from 9 so confidence must be building in the new boys.

  9. Folk criticising Wes now ffs

We could have lost the game today if it wasn't for him!

Wes is just one of many easy targets people in our support have so they'll criticise him thinking everyone agrees!

  10. Fuck me!

Oh the train home so I thought I'd login here to see everyone buzzing! You'd think someone died!

Top of the league boys :21:

We know we weren't at our best but we got the three points. Waggy, Holt and Windass all to come back from injury, Garner to get some games and a new centre half signing soon!

    :uk:
