When GMS went through? Cunt can’t even fish himself out the Clyde never mind stick one past big Wes!

    :Fod:

I forgot about that one - the one I meant was May putting it past the post when it was easier to score.  The other was the clearance of the line.

Wow. What a difference that made. They never even looked like scoring tonight and we looked like we could have had 5 or 6. Fair play to Murty. The system really seemed to suit our personnel, with even players like Windass looking effective.

They could easily have scored twice. I do agree we looked better in that shape though.

  3. Full backs the world over are shite defensively - football systems have moved on.  Full backs are now offensive positions, hence the use of either one or two defensive midfielders.

For me the choice between John and Wallace is who is better going forward and that is John.  However Wallace and John could be a great partnership down the left with John ahead of Wallace. Only time will tell though.

I feel very proud that we always go to play in NI. Other clubs go on glamorous pre season trips but we as a club have never forgotten where a number of our support come from.

    Absolutely correct

I take it the weather was bad?

I went down to watch the Greenock Murray club Apprentice boys and Greenock Grenadiers do the return leg but it was cancelled as the got soaked in Airdrie.

Weather was atrocious at some points to be honest.  Marchers were soaked to the skin - some for the second time of the day after their morning walk.

Maybe (if true) Greenock didn't fancy marching again after being in soaking wet gear for hours?   Would be the first time I have heard of a parade being cancelled due to weather / cold / wet right enough.

As for the band plumbGer - they have a bit to go but decent numbers.  Sounded decent - could do with working on their marching. A bit out of line/step at times, but they are a young band so good luck to them!
