  1. Me to lol i thought we'd found the new African star lol
  2. ffs we have been stone cold broke for years now and now we have a few quid people are expecting signings right away people need to realise that mccoists plans up to the take over were free agents and then when mr whyte took over things changed so give it time we have all of July and August and Rangers have never been quick out the blocks to sign either so im sure coisty is taking his time to make sure the signings are right for the rangers team which id prefer 3 or 4 good singings on august than a few quick ones to appease us then a year of torment with quality like jeffers or seb ect

  9. The mists are lifting from the deal that saw Craig Whyte take over a controlling stake in Rangers from Sir David Murray a month ago. The football club's new owner today published the agreement he struck to take on the liability for the outstanding tax claim being made by HM Revenue and Customs, and to invest quite a few million in the club. That liability hangs over Ibrox, concerning a player-payment scheme that HMRC argues was a way of getting round a lot of tax. The possible bill is measured, rather vaguely, in the tens of millions of pounds. Craig Whyte, as with Sir David Murray, says he's got sound professional advice that HMRC can be defeated in the tribunal case, expected later this year. But the agreement dwells on what happens if that advice is wrong. What's now clear is that the £18m debt transferred from Lloyds Banking Group to Craig Whyte's company, now called Rangers FC Group Ltd, will remain a debt at least until the HMRC case is resolved. If the tax bill, with penalty, is so great that it pushes the club into insolvency within 90 days of the final ruling, the debt will remain debt, and Craig Whyte will remain a creditor. Though HMRC may think differently, it's possible he could pick up the assets, from which the club could then be re-built. Waiving not drowning But if HMRC loses the case, Craig Whyte says he will either waive the debt or transform it into equity. If it were to be a swap of debt for equity, that would so dilute the company's current shareholding that the 15% of shares he doesn't control could be rendered worthless, meaning Whyte would have full control. But then, today's disclosure to other shareholders says there's another agreement, this time between Rangers FC Group and the club itself: that victory over HMRC at the tribunal would be followed by a waiving of the debt and there would be no swap of debt for equity. One other aspect of the agreement on debt concerns the possible use of the club's assets as security for other borrowing. This is a heavy hint that the former board members who refused to endorse Craig Whyte's takeover were concerned about this, having seen the practice undermine other debt-bloated football clubs. But the deal says that Rangers football club will not lend to the company that controls it, Rangers FC Group, or provide security for the Group's borrowing - unless, that is, it's for the club's benefit. Player Squad The other area where former chairman Alistair Johnston and other directors had their doubts about Craig Whyte was in his commitment to invest in the club. The new document states there will be £5m for investment in the playing squad. It then says it intends to invest - "or procure an investment of" - £20m by 2016 for spending on the player squad. It's not clear if this includes the starting £5m commitment. But it does extend to providing cash cover for up to £5m in each of the next four years, so it doesn't mean waiting for five years until the money is available. Then there's a further £5m working capital facility for the club, and £1.7m for upgrades to Ibrox's kitchens and PA system, among other stadium requirements. If Craig Whyte's company breaks the terms of the deal, his debt would be "automatically extinguished". But while the HMRC dispute hangs over Ibrox, that extra spending on squad and stadium simply adds to the debt held by Rangers FC Group, as would that potential pay-out to the taxman. 'Lack of Clarity' Alistair Johnston and the four others who formed the board committee scrutinising the Murray-Whyte deal said last month they had differing views on the future revenue generation and cash requirements of the club. And the statement they issued at the time the deal was finally signed off went on to say Whyte's offer had a "lack of clarity" on the way future cash requirements would be met, particularly on the HMRC case. Those directors insisted that a document should be issued by Craig Whyte on the full terms of the transaction, with firm commitments to agreed future investment in the club. That appears to be the document we've got today. It comes with a covering letter in which Craig Whyte says he intends to keep the club based in Ibrox, without changes to use of its assets or for its employees. The paperwork offers brief details on the three directors of Rangers FC Group - Craig Whyte, Andrew Ellis, the property dealer who previously failed to seal a deal with Sir David Murray, and Phil Betts, an asset finance specialist who, like Craig Whyte, has experience in refinancing and restructuring companies. That detail may fall short of the Johnston committee's requirement for "comprehensive details on the acquirer". What has no response from Craig Whyte and his Rangers FC Group is Johnston's insistence that he disclose the source of his funding. As he was sacked from the board last month, Alistair Johnston continued to raise vague doubts about that, but without saying explicitly what his concerns were. Today's statement only answers the challenge by saying the Group is wholly owned by Liberty Capital Ltd, a company based in the Virgin Islands which is wholly owned by one Craig Whyte. Quite a lot has now been put down in black and white. This appears to be a binding, contractual commitment to the club and to other shareholders. Making it work now depends (and please forgive me if this is stating the obvious) on the money being made available. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-13675873

Although not the best moments in my life there big enough for me to know my kids and there kids will be brought up bears. WATP
  11. id prefer a run on the Europa league getting thumped every other week and then crash out with a few injuries to carry for the remainder of the season
  12. Your right mate , if they end up going for given which it looks like they will then theyll be hard to beat lets just see what it brings from there end, id like to see them get in to the europa league stretch the fuk right out of them this season and a few key players leave kayal and ki . but never mind that mhob lets just get in a few quality players and see how we are fixed in the cl
  13. I think we will get the 4iar as Seltic just seem to blow up as if there scared of winning but i still would like it to be more the glory days when its out of reach by easter lol
  14. A mixture of anticipation and exciting i think is manifesting its self as anxiety?, lol plus this is my first season ill have a season ticket lol so i want to see us play that nice expansive football we did towards the end of the season.
  15. I do agree we played some great football this season but never the less if we get injuries ect we could be in trouble and we cant really rest on a laurels with what team we have as you know the scum will spend and as much as i hate to admit it they lost the league this year and i wouldnt like us to be in a similar position again relying on other teams to do us a favour.I think we need one more striker to nip and out when laffo is of form or to fill in as well as a god knows how many centre backs depends what happens with the 2 we have and also a winger i think , maybe give ness a chance to step up this year in cm as he has a great shot and isnt a very attacking midfielder so could hold and let davis do what hes good at.
  16. certainly if we can get him in a straight swap all day long if they wanted money then id say yes but we would need to see what wages he would wanted first but maybe a million plus bouggie
  17. Oh mate its fever pitch here like a scene from dawn of the dead people just wondering round muttering to them selfs transfer market is open and no players !!!!
  18. This is what im worried about if we get his with a trip to Austria or somewhere tough where we have faultered before it maybe a startling realisation and if the unspeakable happened and we ended up with no cl money then whyte may look at the figures he promised which is always a possiblilty which could be worrying.
  19. Good point mate but if our window doesn't open to July and the gold cup doesn't finish to mid June end of June which all this makes it hard to get confirmation from players and agents then its going to be early mid June before we begin to carry out business which could be an uneasy time for us. Meant Mid July
  20. I think his main priority is and should be to retain the spine of the squad , one of the the 2 cbs , both goalies whitty, davis and jelavic and it think your right then there after that add depth but we need at least someone else on power with davis and jelavic imo just to add a bit more edge in games maybe someone with a bit more creativity on the wing (left)although i think wylde is our long term answer for the left wing i dont think hell do it all season and i dont think it would be fair on the lad to expect it either.
  21. I know mate i feel like a child at xmas though cant wait to see what i got but worried its not what i want if you get me
  22. I may just be ober eager at present but going back to what Walter said last year ( he could have brought in 2 or 3 similar quality to the group of players he had but he felt going for one higher quality player -jelavic-) I just hope ally dose the same excited but worried lol
  23. Hi Not to take anything away from super Ally but im slightly worried we are going to either end up with panic buys for the defence if bouggie wont make his mind up to mid July and Weir's situation isn't resolved soon either as we will need then 3 CB's and from what I have heard Wenger wants more time to asses Bartley now so this may mean no Loan deal for the big lad. Looking at all these players we are being linked with there hasn't been any firm approach. I must admit i thought they ( the board and management team) would have tried to bring in a quality name early doors to appease the fans and state there intentions in the market. I may just be growing itchy feet and nerves kicking in at the thoughts of 4iar. But im just feeling uneasy about the targets being mentioned at present as thinking back to PLG fiasco being linked with all these big names and then sebo-sionko and co arrived and although sasa came out of that wreckage im just worried we buy unheard of European players who take ages to settle or flop which has happened quite often. I know the argument will be Jelavic but thats one player who was doing it regular in Austria. Any body any thoughts on this or anyone feeling similar to my self?.
