Because they're cheap fucks, shouldn't be allowed in the top tier of any league. This should not be a way of saving money - like not having football strips and just having the players use bibs. If you're in line for promotion and you have a plastic pitch, you either invest in a grass one to replace it or the next in line gets your promotion.

I know I'm probably one of the ones you're talking about mate, but I've never rated Wallace and always failed to see why he got such praise from some. It's nice he stayed with us, but that was his job really. If he took a pay cut then fair play to him - that's different, but a player with limited ability as another poster touched on may well not have gotten a better deal than dropping down the leagues with us. I've always seen him as being a terrible leader on the pitch and never understood why he was given the captaincy.

lol, there's been plenty calling Wallace a legend because a lot have rated him and he stayed with us as we dropped down the leagues. Broadfoot and Malcolm as far as I know have never been called legends, but do see all three as having about the same ability.

To clarify I called two posters mongos, one of them being you. It is typical school playground tactics. Changing the essence of someone's argument in order to get one over the other person. We have to disagree then, statistics can be misleading, fails to take into consideration yellow cards along with a bunch of other factors which I can't be arsed going into like focus, our refereeing standards and other countries refereeing standards. Whether you like it or not, as soon as he saw referees were starting to notice him >for whatever reason you or others think< he should have kept his head down and got on with it instead of arguing/getting pissed off We are talking about things which are utterly meaningless and not anything which should be the focus of the argument. We have a player that keeps getting noticed by referees - what is the solution? Saying the refs are biased or whatever, and saying how poor wee morelos is being treated? The only solution is the player makes sure he does nothing to warrant any cards etc, and any of you that say he hasn't done anything to warrant certain cards he's received are delusional. If he still gets cards then we as a club can fight it - but only to a certain extent.

I understand what you're saying regarding it seeming almost like arrogance, but I can understand it. If a manager really wanted a player, then he's seen something in that player and I guess he's hoping at some stage that special thing will shine through. But I agree it's refreshing from Gerrard, he seems to not take much nonsense. Will be patient but only for so long.

I know this will be going against the grain with a lot of the support, but I never liked him because I never rated him. Even although I didn't think much of him, I still expected far more than he gave us when we went down the leagues. Just like I never took to players like broadfoot or boab malcolm, they have mediocrity written all over them. A bit mean I know, but when people talk of legend status and all this, I just don't understand it one bit.

We all know Morelos doesn't deserve what he gets , we know he's just a moody fucker that gets frustrated at himself and other players and is more petulant than dirty. However that is meaningless, the referees are alert to him now so the only way things can get better is if he keeps his head down and shuts the fuck up. Never mind the refs, the opposition players are alert to it now - so he's going to get wound up by them more. I have no doubt Gerrard has said the same to him.

Agreed, look at black for example. There have been plenty of players over the years that have made life difficult for themselves. Morelos has the ability to correct this, all he needs to do is keep his head down and channel his anger differently.
