Let's get through Thursday and the first game against them before we get too excited. It's still far too early for all this.

Help soften up officials with praise AND show that his opinions are well balanced.
Would add strength to his comments last week, rather than weaken his position IMO.

as Gerrard and I have said: if you kick out you give the referee the option to send you off, it doesn’t matter if it was actually a yellow card or not - you have now given him the opportunity 
we know how we’ve been treated the last few seasons - so the club either fight it or we see it for what it is and make sure it doesn’t damage us.
crying about it being so unfair and saying we’ll never win anything is a wee team loser mentality - something I personally refuse to indulge in

Twas the wrong refereeing decision today, Morelos should have received a yellow card at most, and the sheep should have had a man sent off for the penalty.

I think you're being very unreasonable toward other opinions. You cannot keep firefighting, we cant score goals - ok let's get loads of attackers, our midfield is shite -sign 6 midfielders, our defence is shite let's buy loads of defenders, now our attack is shite, let's get more attackers. There has to be a plan and some direction because the team has to move forward as a whole.
Morelos is a young lad and anyone with half a brain can see he shouldn't be our main striker, it's too much for the lad and he's not thriving now because of the pressure he's been put under. Anyone could see our frailties all over the park last year, including inability to break down teams when really required. We had a few high scoring games that made our stats look better than what they were.
When's the last time we scored against the scum?
Our "solid" defense has been tested against whom exactly? ?
