  1. moved on the proper way, i liked edu more than alot of other bears. never thought he was as bad as he gets made out to be from some quarters.

took a wage cut, transfered over, stood by the club without complaining about the horrendous situation we have went through.

a real legend in my opinion.

good luck with the rest of your career mo and you will always be welcomed at ibrox by me :praise:

  2. So in 6 years, the JJB deal netted Rangers something like:

    + up front £18m

    + 5 or 6 years @ £3m = £15m-£18m

    + interest saving on £18m @ c.£1m pa = £6m

    - shop closure costs c.£4.5m (from memory)

    = £34.5m-£37.5m

    = c.£6m pa

Far more than the shops were making at the very peak of their sales (and prior to the recession).

But the PR/customer service aspect was utterly appalling.

dont let the truth spoil some peoples fun.

  3. thats a pretty decent interview, doesnt try to kid on hes rangers mad but shows his appreciation of having an oppertunity at a club like ours and acknowledges how amazing our support is. what more can we ask for?

i agree with the poster who said in a yrs time he will have fallen in love with the bears and stating how good it is to be a ger

  4. is anyone worried about the lack of signings we have made? i am very happy with mr green so far and we have made a decent start to the season considering all the things that happened over the summer.

however we have 12 days left to sign players before the embargo starts and we cant sign anyone for 2 years.

imo we need atleast 5 players in, we have a good enough first team to win sfl 3 and 2 however our squad is very thin and we dont have any cover for any injuries and suspensions that will happen.

we need a lm, rm, rb, cm and gk atleast.

  5. we need 5 or 6 players in, there is no options to change the team or the shape atm. outside the starting 11 today we had 2 strikers on the bench and a couple of youngsters.

we need atleast a rb, rm, lm, cm and probably a cb.

theres just no cohesion in the team atm (style of play wise) and we are too reliant on long balls.

i will reserve any judgement until the transfer window closes.

  6. Haven't seen anything about this. A bit bloody shit if true

10.38: Ally McCoist has admitted that Maurice Edu is set to leave Rangers on a free transfer after rejecting the club's offer to transfer his contract.

From football365.com transfer blog. Now, to be fair, generally, they don't give an arse about Scottish football so taking it with a pinch of incompetent salt. Will be rather irritated and confused though if he's been training with us for weeks yet has refused to transfer over. Can he even do that? Just want a fee, even if it is only 300k

    Must be bullshit, right?

hes waited too long to do this. you have 14 days to refuse to transfer(at most) think it may be even less so i thinks this may be bullshit.

i also think he has been paid by green(newco) as the wages were paid the other week.

  7. Kirk is getting slated now, it was Goain on Sunday these guys should be praised for staying and fighting for our cause when they could have deserted us like the other traitors did. No pre-season done so no one will be up to scratch yet give the guys a break he has Gers at heart like the rest of us. WATP

    this (tu)

  8. i understand guys wanting to leave, a football career is about 14 yrs long and if possible you want to spend those years playing at the highest level possible.

mo will go with my best wishes and thanks for his contribution to our club.

he has done the decent thing by transfering over so the club gets something back for him. now thats the sign of a man with a bit of class.

    edu edu edu :praise:

  9. I still don't understand why Green hasn't been 100% transparent. With info like this doing the rounds it just adds to the stress!!

because of the abuse/hate/smear campaigns that happen to people/companies that are involved with our club.

i still dont trust green 100% but so far he seems to be doing a decent job

  10. Our priority should be youth this year either promoting from within or bringing young guys in to play with a handful of experienced pros.. Neilson would stroll div 3 but an unnecessary signing.

im all for yoyths getting a game, infact i have been screaming for 10 yrs about it but i really dont know if they are up to the job(sadly). its to big a risk to take relying on the youths. we need to sign enough players so we win the 3rd this season and the 2nd next yr. with the 1yr embargo luming i dont think we can risk it and need to get as many decent quality players in as possible.

if our youths are good enough they will be able to make a position there own when they get their chance which will definitly come in the likes of the ramsden cup and lge cup.
