  1. Nobody wanted to buy from SDM because of the things I mentioned... no merchandising etc. and obviously the tax bill. I think if the opportunity existed to buy the stadium, with none of the debt, and start again then you might get a few of the Jim McColl's interested.
  2. I didn't mean for it to be a negative post... I was actually thinking about "what's the worst that could happen?" and thought that might not be such a bad thing. I reckon climbing up the leagues and building the squad again from scratch could actually be a pretty exciting time and would probably bring the club, players and fans back together again!
  3. Currently we are financially hamstrung as our turnover is severely restricted due to the fact we have sold off our merchandising, catering and now future season book sales. This is why I think liquidation could be the best option for us... we could start again from scratch. If we managed to find a proper custodian, who had our best interests at heart (not looking to make a quick buck for himself), he could buy the stadium from the liquidator and start all over again. I actually think it would be better for us to start in Div 3 with an entirely new squad to let us start completely from scratch. We would get back to back promotions and be back in the SPL, debt free with all our commercial rights back under our own ownership, in 3 years.
  4. There's a big difference between borrowing a million or two to get you to the end of the season and borrowing £24m against the next 4 year's season book income. Especially when we were led to believe that £24m was coming from Whyte.
  5. Too many folk believe everything they read in the scummy press... let's wait and see what Ally and Mr Whyte have to say.
  6. He is a left back, and a very good one, who is being played out of position. Give him a chance FFS.
  7. I would imagine that the deal will be something like this: £3.5m cash up front £1.5m assuming Everton don't get relegated this season £0.5m after Jela scores 20 goals £0.5m after 50 goals £0.5m after Jela makes 50 appearances £0.5m after 100 appearances West Ham's offer was probably: £5.2m spread out over 2/3 years (maybe as little as £1.5m up front) £1.3m assuming they get promoted £0.5m after so many goals or appearances It all depends on how much money we need through the till, so to speak, before tomorrow night.
  8. I think Edu and Aluko together are dictating the tempo of the teams play... when the pair of them are on form we are unplayable and everyone else lifts their game
  9. I completely agree with what you are saying, but Mr Whyte said himself that the situation was a lot worse than he had been made aware of... just seems strange that he would be happy for SDM to visit MP
  10. Just spat my coffee all over my computer ya bassa
  11. Strange one this... It does add to the conspiracy theories If Sir David had shafted Mr Whyte as badly as was being made out, then I don't think SDM would be allowed anywhere near Murray Park
  12. Talksport are saying CSKA are interested in Jela... Russian teams are cash rich
  13. Why would we then refuse the offer... doesn't make sense. As mentioned above we probably told them to come back with a sensible offer, which they haven't, it is a turn of phrase.
  14. Reading between the lines I reckon we wont find out until March at the earliest.
