  1. Tillman looks genuine quality. Unpopular opinion, however, the much vaunted Lundstrum being your 'best' midfielder isn't saying much and leaves you very average in there.
  2. Think you have to buy this 3 day subscription now domestically? There was the purchase option for the Union game on Tuesday as a seperate option, but not for this one.
  3. Yup, we have nobody else to do it which is a massive problem that wasn't addressed. Possibly Charlie McCann from all reports but apart from that. Davis can play a match and still look like the best player on the park. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he is MOTM.
  4. The two we lost this summer were undeniably big players for us but our two most important players are these two guys. The miss they are when out of the team, especially both of them together is immense.
  5. This is a problem with playing one up front. You still need quality but with one position available can't have two or three first choice strikers becoming disgruntled on the bench. Massive problem in our case then when our clear 2nd choice striker is made of glass, and up until Colak we had bugger all else. He is probably the perfect type signing if we insist on playing one up there. Hopefully he can start firing in a few, though.
  6. I think it is a long way from desperate. The thing is when we play one up top without Alfie we invariably look awful. Especially domestically. He might not be an absolute prolific goalscorer but what he offers the team in other areas is huge and is only magnified when he is out. Sakala isn't the answer. Seems like a cracking guy with a brilliant attitude, but looks a mile off being a Rangers player. He'll play the odd match against some of the mince in this league and score a few goals, no doubt, but that won't change the previous point.
  7. He is exiting for sure. Don't know if you ever listen to the Rangers Rabble pod, but the guys there, particularly Wully, give some great coverage of the B team with more as of late too.
  8. I know. I wouldn't even consider the former but would very much consider the latter.
  9. Lovelace up top is a bit out there, but that aside - in our current dilemma missing a full forward line - liking LegendofCoop's idea of a good old fashioned 4-4-2. Tillman supporting Colak upfront and work back from there. The guy clearly needs help up there.
  10. We got away without properly addressing the midfield when we discovered Davis had what he had left in the tank and it papered over the spend / recruitment needed for that area of the pitch. Even last season there were a few games where he would come on and be the best player for either side. He can't maybe do it as often now and that is a massive problem considering the relatively large amount of average - to bit better than average - players we have in there.
  11. It should have done, I agree. Think he will be away by the end of the window, though. He wants a place at the WC and unless this Turkish lad is Stale Stensaas then he is not getting game time.
  12. Should, and probably will, be the last game he plays in a Rangers first team jersey.
  13. Obviously that is entirely true, although, given what he has delivered, also while domestically having two to three opponents on him virtually every game, I just don't think you can knock his overall contribution.
  14. I find it baffling considering the lack of recent criticism directed at the guy on his opposite wing. If Kent played the way / offered anything as little like that of Wright then people would be chasing him down PRW with pitch forks. And that is normally with about two additional players on him. We'd all wish he would have more of a goal scoring final product, however, the probable and sad reality in this day and age is if that were to be the case he'd have been off to a different league by now.
  15. It is an absolute embarrassment. They managed to enforce minimum what, 10,000 seater stadiums to the extent of denying a club who had fairly won promotion to the top league - but allow top tier teams to play on astro turf. Teams should be advised next season all pitches in the top flight will be grass otherwise it means automatic demotion from the SPL.
  16. On much of the play coming down their right he looks an absolute bombscare, but I doubt he would look anything near as bad on his proper side of central defence. That isn't going to happen with Goldson, though. I thought the combination of him and Borna looked awful in preseason despite much lauding of Barasic and, again today, it was exposed. I think that will be one of the last times we see that particular combination on the left.
  17. Let's hope there is no magical inflated next transfer unless we are getting a decent chunk of change.
  18. Madness he wasn't in the original squad given his start to the season, everything else not withstanding.
  19. If actually been given fair treatment by the SFA, (no laughing in the cheap seats) even if not being spectacularly helped, we had enough in that team to take the league even with the run to the final. We were severely fucked over.
  20. Popped into this thread hoping to see a positive update from you, FB. Great to hear you're on the up, look after yourself
