I think we will see a different team next week and fully expect us to win the SF - ALL of these comments will be forgotten for a time. I am not denying there is a lack of fire and guts in this squad but next week is a must win and I think they will step up - we might not win at Ibrox but Hampden is ours - mark my words

    How?

I don’t think he or even the board knew he was going to step into management at that point mate

I'm sure he said multiple times when he was here he would go it alone at some point. If qpr was enough to tempt him less than a year after he left us I disagree mate. We should of took the chance then. Just feels a backward step now to me.

Disagree entirely, he’s openly spoken about working in the premier league one day. He had that opportunity but turned it down with the hope that we could come calling soon. That’s how I see it anyway.

So you don't think we should of been forward thinking enough to take a chance on him when Gerrard left? And don't think it's been a monumental waste of resources the way we have gone about it?

The negativity around this appointment is surprising. There aren’t a huge amount of candidates that spring to mind as good/viable options. This guy knows the club inside/out and you can tell by the way he speaks he is passionate about the club. We know he’s a fantastic coach and on the back of that you’d be very hopeful the players will really buy into his methods. Heard nothing but good things about him via players on podcasts and interviews etc in fact I’ve heard many say he’s the best they’ve ever worked under.

It’s clear to me he turned down the premier league money (no way we would match Wolves salary) because he genuinely knew he really wanted this and he was the man they wanted. It’ll be interesting to see what happens long term with Wilson because that has not worked out well at all and recruitment will be a massive factor in how successful Beale will be. He will have to be ruthless and get rid of a good number of players he will have existing relationships with but I’m excited to see his team play and look forward to what next season has in store for us because this one is all but done IMO. Good luck to him.

He has clearly turned down the Premier league money because he has seen his pal fail miserably.

If we were going to take a chance o  Beale it should of been when Gerrard left. Would of saved ourselves circa £5m.

What a monumental cluster fuck this has all turned into.
