is shite with the ball at his feet but if you give him it in the air he's brilliant. So why the fuck did we buy him for a team that never crossed and only played with the ball on the ground

It's a great question. He's been much better with Caixinha in charge. Probably the only positive so far.

Why so much hate for Toral all of a sudden?

Is it just that rumour going about that he faked injury so he didn't have to play?

If it is just that I would hope our fans weren't that easily swayed by a rumour.

If I'm wrong then I apologise for the rash assessment - no I'm not a doctor - but I have just had bacon... mmmmmmmmm bacon.

I think that rumour is nonsense.

But other than one good game (if memory serves it was the 6-0 game against Hamilton at Ibrox) he's been poor. I'm not Halliday's biggest fan but I think he'd be better in midfield today than Toral.

  3. As much of a Rangers fan I am, if I have the choice of playing in the lower leagues or a big money move down south or abroad, I'm offski. Can you blame anyone for leaving? The only disappointing thing was the lack of transfer fee's

I'm glad a lot of the high earners left actually, because we lost £14m with fairly low earners such as Kevin Kyle and Dean Shiels. It would have been £30m+ had we kept the same squad!

In regards to Rangers signing Lafferty, it probably won't happen but one things for sure, we need much better players than the current squad.

  4. I for one never once questioned Walter's style of football. Okay, it wasn't the best entertainment but in the eleven full season's he managed Rangers he won the league 10 times!.... That's an incredible achievement.

If he took the Rangers job tomorrow I'd be absolutely delighted.

  5. if we win games, playing visually pleasing football, people will watch it over and over again, and pay happily for it.

If we lose, and play shit football, we won't even even log on!

You make a good point but subscribers such as myself want more content, other than just the matches.

I will continue to subscribe as it helps the club but I initially subscribed for the interviews and press conferences which are now regularly uploaded to Youtube anyway.

I mean, how much does it cost to sit a player down and film him reading nasty Tweets about himself from angry opposition fans?.... haha :) Not much. But I know many Rangers fans wouldn't mind paying a fiver for funny shit like that.

  6. They need to bring back the daily news show they had when it was on Setanta. It really gave the impression you were right up to date on club matters and was value for money.

I liked the Rangersmind thing they had going not so long ago where players had 60 seconds to answers as many questions about Rangers as they could. Why can't they do more things like that? Do some interviews with fan questions, funny challenges between players etc.

    More content please!!!

They're really dropping the ball on RangersTV at the moment.

And yeah, the Tom Miller/DJ commentary team stopped being funny a long time ago.

  7. Promotion is obviously the main priority but it would be nice to win the Scottish Cup or the League Cup. I wouldn't say it was a "must" but more an added bonus.

As for the Challenge Cup, Rangers must use that tournament as nothing more than an opportunity for squad players to impress. The first team regulars should not be playing. Trying to win 3 trophies is difficult enough without wasting valuable energy on a glorified friendly tournament for lower league teams to make some extra cash.

But going back to the League Cup and Scottish Cup for a moment, if Celtic are defeated and Rangers are still in the tournament I'd be very disappointed if we didn't go on and win it.

  8. I was not in favour of McCall getting the Rangers job.

However, his task was to improve the team and he did that. Okay, he never got us promoted but he did significantly improve the style of football and squad morale. I believe he can assemble a Championship winning squad and win the league at the next time of asking.

That said, if he is not offered another contract my first choice would be McLeish.
