  1. You can't really use the form of Rangers at the end of last season as an indicator as to how the team will play this season.

By then the league was won and there wasn't much for the players to get motivated about. (although the team still never lost a match)

In the first part of last season, when it was all to play for, the team were excellent and hopefully they'll get off to a similar start this season.

  2. It wasn't team orders to favour one driver, as such. It was a case of Mercedes wanting Hamilton not to hinder Rosbergs strategy (and they believed Hamilton letting Rosberg past wouldn't affect Lewis' strategy either).

They were both on completely different strategies so there was no need for them to battle it out. Which is why Mercedes wanted Lewis to step aside, and also why Lewis said he would do if Rosberg was faster.

The only problem was that Rosberg wasn't faster than Lewis to justify the team order so they eventually (correctly) cancelled the request.

  3. I would have kimi ahead of button and very close between Alonso and Hamilton but I would give it to Alonso as I cannot stand lewis.

    Very interesting discussion point though.

I would have ranked Kimi higher but I don't think he's coped well with the cars since his return.

Alonso and Lewis are probably about even but I would say Lewis is more consistent and would put in a faster qualifying lap.

  4. Where is Seb on the "best driver" list these days?...

    1) Lewis

    2) Alonso

    3) Seb

    4) Button

    5) Rosberg

    * 6) Kimi 7) Ricciardo 8) Bottas 9) Hulkenberg 10) Massa

If they all had an equal car that would be my prediction for where each driver would finish on a Sunday.

  5. Hamilton was correct not to let Rosberg past as Rosberg just didn't have the pace at that point to merit Hamilton slowing down to let him go by.

And had Lewis let him past, Rosberg could well have won whilst Hamilton at best would have been in 4th place.

  6. We need to get into the wining spirit.

The players need to try harder and use their brains.

If we lose we better not hear this Sacramento are in a higher league than the previous opposition.

I would be happy if we lost but looked much sharper and more organised.

If the team plays well, I could just about accept a narrow defeat.

But there needs to be a massive improvement on the previous games. It's been unacceptable so far and the tactics are all wrong.

Is McCoist really going to go with one centre forward in the Championship against the likes of Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath? I just don't get that, especially with the summer signings that have been made. A team like Rangers does not need 5 defenders against Championship opposition. Madness.

  7. I'll likely stay up for this game but I have a strong suspicion Rangers will line up in a 5-4-1, create about two attempts on goal and lose to a far weaker team. :(

The matches against Brora and Ventura were an utter embarrassment. I've always supported McCoist but I'm starting to wonder if he really is the right person for the job.

  8. Hamilton fastest in 2nd practice.

That said, a Rosberg victory seem's written in the stars. Germany win the World Cup, he gets married, gets a extended contract and finishes off with a German Gran Prix all in the same week?..

I would be very surprised if Hamilton won.
