“I don’t know if the belief is there”
TheKingObv replied to Davy Vandenbroucke's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Therein lies the difference between us and them. Can guarantee their dressing room has thought all along they'd win the league. Bordering on arrogance, no doubt. They have a culture of winning, we don't. -
Has to be the worst ever player to move for over £30millilon that the game has seen.

The writing was on the wall with that first half performance last week. No team truly capable of winning the title would crumble like that. Partly why I could barely get excited by us snatching a draw. -

They win leagues, we don't. Zero chance the squad truly believed we'd go onto win the title. The culture within the club is absolutely fucked. -

Get it postponed. Odds of winning are quite clearly lower than it would be on a decent pitch and that's ultimately all that matters at this point. -
I know mate. The bookies have us as fairly considerable favourites, which I find quite surprising in all honesty.

Genuinely think it's about 50/50 I dont think anyone can deny that them winning against us at home is the most likely of the 3 possible outcomes on that day. Even weighing up them winning against us either winning or drawing - the odds probably still sit in their favour. Counterbalanced by them being more likely to drop points elsewhere as shown this season.
-
We're still (fairly) strong favourites for the league which I'm a bit surprised at given we've still to go to theirs where they will 100% be heavy favourites.

Not sure what he offers tbh

Yeah makes sense. Tbh I didn't watch it back properly until now (was too fuming at time and don't watch HT/FT analysis) There's plenty time for him to get his foot out the way which I think is the key factor. Like you say almost 2 different incidents. Also think the contact on the ball being so minimal also plays a role. -

But doesn't nicking the ball mean it's not a penalty? See it loads. Only time getting the ball is usually ignored is if its an overly forceful tackle. Definitely seems to be a grey area tbh -

Should it be a penalty if the defender gets the ball first? I know that's old school thinking but I thought this was still the case as long as the tackle wasn't dangerous. -

Its so his momentum is going forward by the time the striker hits the ball, meaning he can close down the angle a bit A lot of keepers do similar but Butland doesn't seem particularly effective at it. -

Coming from 2 down, should be happier than I am now. Such a missed opportunity. They're favourites to win the league given one more game to go at theirs -
