Always thought John was alright, best of a bad bunch from that list.

Wouldn't get anywhere near us now but he was by no means a terrible player. Decent in fact.

  2. I wasn't fortunate enough to watch our great keepers, goram, klos etc but by fuck am I lucky to say I have watched a master craftsman at work. He is the best I've ever seen in a rangers shirt by far.

Baloguns out for the rest of the season. I think people have went overboard a bit with Patterson, he has potential but he's raw and inexperienced and is no substitute for Tav, as i said we need his leadership his drive and his attacking threat down that side, Patterson doesn't give us any of that.

Patterson has been excellent when hes played this season. I'd rather start him and bring Tav in at worst case scenario as Tav hasn't played in ages.

One season is re writing history a little mate. His injury record is horrendous and even if we've found a solution. What's the chances of him putting a run together of 10-15 games in our midfield. Going on the passed and say highly unlikely

TBF mate he has had this problem for a while, I agree. however IF they truly have found the solution for it and its not just media talk to appease fans, there is no reason why he couldn't go on a long run and be an ever present in our midfield. All about protecting him while he recovers from whatever treatment he has and thankfully (for us) him missing the euros will give him that R&R time he needs to get back to where he needs to be.

I'm pinning my hopes on how naturally fit he his. apparently he's been knocking his pan out doing one to one training with the physios and is desperate to play.

He's been a massive miss .for us. I'd be a lot more confidant about Sunday if he plays.

Aye but sadly theres a big difference between being fit and being match fit. He would be a miss but tbf Patterson has stepped up well. Any word on Balogun or is he still out?

Would love to have had Jack fit for Sunday but its terrific news for us if not him that he now can concentrate on getting fit pre season.

Good news on Tav as well hope to god he plays on Sunday we need his leadership his drive and his attacking threat, Patterson can play his position but he's no replacement for Tav.

Not sure I'd start Tav on sunday - can see Patterson starting and Tav being brought into the game in the second half at some point - as athletic and fit as he is, would be a huge risk playing a player who hasn't played in weeks in an OF game. If we can afford it, I'd not risk him IMO

  7. IF, big IF, they have found a solution then that is like a new signing in itself. He is a brilliant player for us when fit, and being honest, we will only miss him in what, 2 games for the rest of this season? (2 OFs) so being selfish (his scotland place is gone) it COULD be fantastic news for us. Plus he won't be risked for injury with Scotland which is a bonus too. Bounce game or two and he should be good to go for CL qualifiers.

Where does Man City come into it? They’re linked with New York City, not the Red Bulls team.

Having said, I’m not buying it. MLS teams have limited budgets within their ridiculously complex system as it is. I’m pretty sure they have to request the money from the league first and foremost, and have to give up ‘draft picks’ and special contract types if they want to spend significant money. I’ve got more respect than most for football in the States but fuck me it’s like FIFA Ultimate Team

TBF NYRB have plenty funds, same owners as Salzburg and Leipzig. Could see him going there tbh, not for close to that money though. He performs well for them he gets a move to Salzburg then onto Leipzig, they often loan/transfer players to each of their clubs.

    Patterson Goldson Helander Barasic

    Arfield Davis Kamara

    Roofe Itten Morelos

I know the gaffer will no play this but can you imagine the delivery from Barasic in particular into that amount of firepower. Midfield could predominately sit and protect the centre backs

Kent plays every day of the week, in form or not. shows up more often than not for this fixture, similar to arfield.

  10. is there any confirmation as to whether kamara's ban will count for internationals?

being selfish as fuck, it would mean that he would miss the opening 3 euro matches in june. I assume he would be back for us in time for CL opening fixtures? Thats if he doesnt win his appeal.

Sure from what Kamaras lawyer tweeted it has been appealed, dropped from 5 to 3 games.

He’ll be a huge miss but I’ve no doubt we’ll sign at least 2 cm in the summer. No way are we going into next season and champions league qualifiers relying on Davis and Arfield who are both the wrong side of 30 and Jack with his injury record. Zungu will be away aswell so could even make the case for 3.

bit sick of seeing this comment when scott arfield is 32 ffs. totally agree with the rest of what you are saying though. Think midfield is where we will need to strengthen the most, we will be OK up front if Morelos stays and at the back and in goal.

EUFA are quite rightly getting it stinking on twitter

    Is it fuck enough

Trippier got two more games by telling someone to make a bet

TBF i didn't know what the max ban was, was going off what i'd read online that 10 games was the most. Going off what has since come out, it clearly isnt enough, he should get the absolute maximum that can be handed out, whatever that is

  14. Tbf I think the ban on kudela is fine. 10 games is enough. However, club should be fined €1m euros as punishment if uefa really want to kick out racism from the game.

If, big if, kamara has assaulted him then unfortunately there's no choice but to ban him for 3 games. However, even with the circumstances (victim of racist abuse obviously) how can you justify someone hitting another player off the pitch getting a shorter ban than a player commiting an (accidental) hard challenge? Even by rulebooks, one was premeditated, one was accidental. Ridiculous decision making at UEFA, surprise surprise

Kamaras ban leaves us pretty short given Jack’s problems

Doesn't really matter too much with us being out of the competition until the summer. Gives us time to bring another in (which I assumed was happening anyway when the window opens and players likely move on)
