Was there, I would have been 15. Thought I was dreaming when we went ahead in the second minute then scored another.
Glad other posters have mentioned Beckenbauer and other Bayern players arguing and losing the plot, was beginning to wonder if I had imagined that.
We stayed about 15 minutes walk from the Stadium so my old man and I were home in time to see Dixie’s moon launch penalty, it rounded off a perfect night. If Carlsberg did European semi final nights with 155,000 spectators in the same city...

Everyone on both sides of my family was a bluenose, mother’s family lived a bye kick from Ibrox in Orkney Street across from the polis station, old man’s side weren’t from much further away in Kingston.
I wouldn’t be surprised if my great-grandfathers saw the Gallant Pioneers.

I was at the game Sandy scored early and Derek Parlane scored the second. He was in for John Greig I think because John Greig was injured. Bayern were all over the place and Beckenbaur and Sepp Maier were arguing . What a night

Its been an emotional day and the best place for me tonight was at a regular Tuesday night meeting in Stapleford.
A few of the guys there gave me a hug and offered their condolences and nearly had me in tears again.
I was able to talk openly and freely about what Walter meant to me tonight.

I think the best testament to Walter Smith should be that he went undefeated against a Champions' League-winning Marseille team absolutely off their tits on performance enhancing drugs, bribing refs left right and centre, and did it with a team of high functioning alcoholics.

Obviously knew he had been very ill but hoped he had turned the corner, the news came as a shock. I’ve been more upset at this than losing members of my family.
He was so much more than the Rangers manager, he was a man loved and respected by so many, that’s clear with the tributes being paid today.
    RIP Sir Walter.

Could name the entire stadium after him as far as I'm concerned. That's how important he is to my generation.

My late father was a member of the SNP in the 1970s but that was back when they had serious politicians like Gordon Wilson and they could see the potential transformation of Scotland akin to what was happening in Norway with their sovereign fund etc. Back then they were hated by the very same people who now vote for them, they were branded as Tartan Tories and the RC population were advised to vote Labour by their priests (this was confirmed by a neighbour).
The ship sailed on independence in the 1970s and 80s and for the last 20 years of his life he certainly came to despise them. The SNP had made a calculated shift to become a very republican type outfit more akin to something like Sinn Fein and it seemed to start with Salmond and co who were at one point expelled from the party over their views. Look at our railway stations and road sign posts.  Gaelic  was never a predominant language in Scotland, ever, and real speakers of the language do not retrospectively invent words , they use the English word for  anything remotely modern yet the government is hell bent on reinforcing the propaganda  that we are separate and different and not the same as other UK citizens as part of their narrative and Rangers are very much in their sights as the antithesis of what they stand for.
The only people I now know for sure that vote SNP are,  let’s say, not from a non denominational background.

Four ex-tarrier players in the Dundee starting 11 I think, plus a very soap dodgers friendly boardroom, was never going to be anything but a glorified training session today.

Don’t even know their score but I’m assuming they won convincingly. I had one look at all the tarrier names in that Dundee line up and decided it was a foregone conclusion.

Turning his back for the Malmö goal really gave him a lot of work to do to win me round. I can’t stand that. I can forgive mistakes but that is not a mistake. That is an inbuilt attitude that shows commitment levels.

Any player who downs tools as he did last season is not the type of character we should want at our club. He's got a lot to prove and seriously needs to up his game

I've been far from impressed by him so far but this isn't so much about his overall quality as it is his style of play.
I've not seen much of him prior to Rangers and always got the impression he was more of a holding midfielder than the one who goes beyond and makes runs into the box etc. However, when he arrived both Gerrard and the player spoke about him scoring regularly for us (he's scored 15 times in a just under a decade).
Is he too similar in style to the likes of Jack, Kamara and Davis and does he add anything we don't already have?
